The first round is must-see on SBS Golf...Mi Hyang tees off at #1 at 11:40 AM and Cyborg's amateur farewell starts at 11:50 AM. I won't see much of BadA$$ as she begins at #10 at 8:30 AM.

CYBORG is a chicken...she should be joining JUNIOR at LPGA Q-school to demolish the Yanks in 2018.

So are pros like Bada*s, Winbee & MHL still KLPGA members or are they invites to events? I assume the KLPGA sponsors don't have deep pockets to pay LPGA pros large appearance fees and likely only pay their expenses for them and their loops....in other words...kinda a freebie trip to visit family and friends in Korea.

Mi Hyang Lee is "Sponsor Recommended" invite. Sei Young is listed the same as the KLPGA members. Not sure how that works, since I thought the KLPGA did not allow dual memberships.

CYBORG is a chicken...she should be joining JUNIOR at LPGA Q-school to demolish the Yanks in 2018. She has until November 13 to apply for Stage 3 of LPGA Q-School...which would be unnecessary if she wins at Evian or Hana Bank. However, if she is really getting a big check from Lotte, would it require her to be a KLPGA regular or play a minimum number of events in Korea? I hope she'll have an extensive Q&A news conference when she turns pro later this month.

I cannot envision large fees getting paid out to the Karate Kid and MHL. Let's face it, they're slumming...they'll return to the Major Leagues with big checks if they play up to their capabilities. Also, this is one of the low money events...500 million Won (about $440K USD) for the total purse. The lowest JLPGA event pays out 60 million Yen (about $542K USD). ****** www.thestarhue.com/They're playing a resort course (above), which will be a little longer than last year at 6711 yards. On Sunday they'll reduce the par-4 11th hole from 404 to 299 and they'll reduce the par-5 18th hole from 552 to 487.

MHL is not a KLPGA member, probably never was a member. She has no profile on the KLPGA website. However, many LPGA regulars who have never played the KLPGA regularly have memberships on the KLPGA (Inky & Winbee are two examples).

CYBORG should do the right thing and register for Q school now, like JUNIOR did. Lotte is well known in Korea...let CYBORG represent Lotte globally on the LPGA tour like HJK...who has now become a wash-out.

Hyo Joo Kim nearly won the Evian when she was younger than Choi, so you never know. And after all, Choi came thisclose to winning the US Women's Open just last month. I would at least consider her "one to watch" in France.

I thought they took similar paths to the LPGA like Mi Hyang did. Coming to the US early, obtaining LPGA membership through the Symetra tour or Q-School.

Here's the pic of Inky in her KLPGA profile: Although she has been an LPGA regular since 2007, her KLPGA profile says she joined that tour in March 2008. My guess is that she applied for KLPGA membership as insurance in case her game went down the toilet on the LPGA. Winbee was also granted KLPGA membership in March 2008. Two more who never played as regulars in Korea: Jenny from The ROK joined the KLPGA in December 2015...they call her Shin Ji Eun 4. Amy (Hee Young) Yang joined the KLPGA in December 2006. Don't know why MHL has never gotten KLPGA membership...might not think it's important or necessary. Maybe NOT having membership was extra motivation for being successful in the USA. Or, there may be a personal or political reason. I've speculated (with no evidence) that she didn't want to see her name with a digit after it, since there's an old unknown washout with the same name on the membership rolls.
