After winning the 2017 Samantha Thavasa Girls Collection Ladies Tournament in July, Hae Rim Kim applied for one-year JLPGA status and it was granted this week. She'll be permitted to play the JLPGA on a 365-day term from the day she applied thru July 16, 2018. However, this does not give her access to the Toto Japan Classic in November. No news on when she'll play in Japan next. If she plays in Korea for the rest of 2017, she should be a lock for getting into most of the LPGA majors in 2018.

I was hoping for Hae Rym to play on the LPGA tour. If she decided to leave the KLPGA. However, she is not a really big draw on the KLPGA. So it will not like losing players like Ha Neul, In Gee, Sung Hyun.
