I'm still shocked Inkster picked Yin over Nelly. I know it was close. Yin might benefit more from the Solheim Cup than Nelly. Ms. Korda won't have trouble becoming a popular star on the LPGA. She already is one. But if I had to put my middle school girl clique thinking cap on Yin has more of a "one of the girls" personality than Nelly. Same w/ Ernst. They seem like fun teammates. Yin is well over Korda in ROY points, and played much better this past week to boot. Are any of you guys who criticized the Mickster for preparing to shun Angel going to apologize?

The Solheim Cup will feature just one top ten player (Thompson). I wonder what the rest of the world's elite thinks of this event and the selection process. It becomes such a focus especially for the Americans. Meanwhile foreign (Asian) players are hogging up the tournament trophies, and rising in the real-world rankings. Sorry to say but the Americans' status on the LPGA is so low. They might be able to lord their status over Euros but let's face it, they're still down in the gutter with them. If the tradeoff is more trophies for Koreans, then let the Americans keep focusing on the Solheim! It's tragicomic. Their world is burning all around them, Asians are pillaging all that they hold dear, and the only thing they can seem to get fired up about is beating up on some low-ranked Europeans under the pretense of a rivalry that doesn't actually exist.

Angel Yin over Nelly is some big drama! I wonder if Nelly is the Korda alternate. How much of a reach is Sagstrom? I know she had a couple decent showings lately but. I guess she is 69th in the world. She's defo a Golf Industrial Complex media bolstered athlete. Huh ? ? Sagstrom is the highest ranked player on both the Rolex Ranking AND the LPGA money list who is not already on the team.

Hmmm...I think Marina Alex got the shaft. Austin has not played well as of late...a Jagger requirement...and trunk slammed at the RWBO. I guess it's Juli's olive branch to Austin...after bending her over in 2015 with the Pink Diva pick.
Is the 1st alternate also flown into the Solheim just in case of a last minute WD?

On the Euro side, I guess it was too little, too late for Aza...it's a little more surprising that Sandra didn't make it. They would have been nice for the scenery. Lucky for Pedersen she didn't ruin her chances by trunk slamming at the RWBO. Unfortunately Aza & Sandra are the only ones to blame for their poor play.

A Korea vs. US exhibition won't come to fruition until the Korean become more abrasive. The Solheim is all about the DRAMA. Remember when TOP 5 & Rory had their RC battle and all the back and forth....a lot of F*** You's going on....the Korean gals would never do that. If Kerr was getting the crowd going...Dumbo would simply walk over and give her a hug. Currently, there are no IN YOUR FACE Koreans...they all play hit and giggle golf...they are ALL TOO NICE. Although Ha Na fist pumps...it's not condescending........ and yes Bada*s can kick anyone's head off...but she's really just too nice..just a nice sweet young lady. The only way this could work is to play it only in LA when the US hosts....obviously, it would be a big hit played anywhere in Korea each alternate year. I believe a lot of LA Koreans would attend...and it's fairly easy for the Flying Dumbo & Attack Girls to fly to LAX. As we all know...some older Korean guys can be big douc*bags (I've encountered/seen it enough times on the golf courses here). I honestly believe a few fist fights would break in the galleries between some Mericans and Koreans ...especially if free samples of Soju and Hite beer were offered to attendees by bang bang girls (see below). This would be great and intensify/create the rivalry required for such an event. Hwaiting/Fighting would truly have meaning then.

Even thou the Solheim is just an exhibition. It is sometimes treated as much more than that. It brings the LPGA Tour exposure to fans that probably never watches it. Who knows some of those fans may even decide to start following the tour. Every little bit helps to grow the tour in the USA.

I promise from now on I'll leave you alone with your "Golf Industrial Complex" rant. Oh I don't really mind. It's just a running bit. It's not the job of the media to social engineer. They can do whatever they want.

She screwed her reaching down for the Pink Diva, and wasn't going to do it again. Also, even though Austin has not placed well recently, she is pretty high in birdies, which is a good stat for Solheim.

Jessica Korda has withdrawn from the Solheim Cup team!!! Who is the alternate?

It's so OBVIOUS that Nelly is the alternate.....do you really believe Jess would WD if Marina was the alternate. Jess would have asked The Asian Giraffe for a box of K-Tape and hobbled around wrapped up like a mummy pretending she is injured just like we often see with Wie. Jess would also have two weeks to attend Creamer's acting school before play began.

"Juli Inkster, who is currently traveling, will be announcing her replacement sometime later. " OR Jagger is flying to Whan's office to meet with John Solheim to ask for her envelope back and scratch out Mo Martin's name and replace it with Creamer. My Tin Hat is working over time today....OK....time to head out to practice and see if I can update the Classic Korean Story thread.
