Would happyfan be so supportive of So Yeon's ascent to the top if the #1 player that she is aiming to topple is In Gee not Lydia? I think my 18 month grandson could answer this question with ease. Happyfan hates Lydia...yet like a FAKE Minjee who was not even born in Korea...go figure. No need to figure. Minjee is everybody's type. Lydia is not. Pure and simple.

I eavesdropped some dirt this week...caddy bashing of players and other loops...player bashing a sponsor...still debating how much of it to dump. ********* Despite Geoff Ogilvy's opinion of the Callaway Apex ("Rubbish") irons, I saw several sets of them and not just with the scrubs...Pressel and Matthew had them, too. ********* The media interviewed Jeong Eun Lee 5 after she completed her Friday round (-6, 65) at the 9th hole... what a disaster. Some young Korean lady was there to interpret, probably Lee's friend. The reporter asks "What were the keys to your good round today?" I don't think this girl knew what "keys" meant or English golf lingo in general. It's possible that her English was not that good at all! "Five" needs to win so this scene is repeated around the world. It might happen, too...I saw Lee hit one approach shot...looks and sounds like a heavy ball striker. ********* SH Park visited the practice green across the street from the 1st hole after completing her Friday round. Two Korean adults were standing there wearing Namdalla "tiaras" (for lack of a better description) and one of them was a man. Aigoo...if MHL never has "organized followers", I can live with that. ******** A huge crowd of lemmings were following The Giraffe on Friday. I'll post a story later from Tuesday's practice on how Team Wie is utterly lame! ******** Regarding an earlier comment about J. Song's "Foot Locker" look... NO WAY does a Foot Locker girl look this good:

Jenn Song looks good on TV but she needs a steady diet of In AND Out burgers....but in REAL life...she's bean pole.

Two Korean adults were standing there wearing Namdalla "tiaras" (for lack of a better description) and one of them was a man. 1) come on...give us some stuff.....was the loop a top caddie or journeyman/woman...a premier or wash out pro?....a Yank?...and which sponsor was she bashing? 2) Maybe he was a tranny.....LMAO...Korean guys are a bunch of pansy's...I play sometimes with a Korean who has a MAN PURSE and another Korean had a butterfly decal on his driver...LMAO. I'm surprised there were Attack Gals at the event....so were you a classic Yank racist and didn't bother to chat up the Attack Gals. BTW...you must have started to annoy MHL....nice 77...for a trunk slam. Oh ya...is this track boring?...I assume they have a local rule...ball in fescue = lateral hazard to avoid 5+ hr rds for the weekend hacks....there mut be a ton of golf balls in the fescue.

Would happyfan be so supportive of So Yeon's ascent to the top if the #1 player that she is aiming to topple is In Gee not Lydia? I have been rooting for So Yeon to become the #1 player in the world since at least 2009, when she had her break out season on the KLPGA. So yeah, even if it were In Gee, I would be cheering for So Yeon to get to the top. It's just a lot easier cause it's Lydia... But no more, I guess. It's Ariya now.

Nice pitch in by Inbee... At five back, she still is in this thing, but she will have to find her form big time to be a factor. Fortunately for her, the leaders are both players who have not lit the tour on fire this season. I love Inky, and boy I would love to watch her win this tomorrow, but she has an unfortunate tendency to blow up big time in these situations. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she can stay focused and get that win. It would be her first in the US since... The State Farm Classic in June of 2009. I'd say she's overdue! GO INKY! I need someone like Inky to win, cause it's sure a bummer about So Yeon missing the cut. Still, she seems to be keeping her head high. Dust yourself off, So Yeon, and never stop fighting! https://www.instagram.com/p/BU5Oa26lnNe (somehow I had a feeling at the beginning of the week that at least one of her obscure playing partners would beat her -- Concolino shot a 66 today and is in 6th.) Good luck to Jenny Shin and Jeong Eun Lee. The Sisters don't exactly have their winningest players near the top, do they? But who knows, they both seem to be playing well, and are close enough to catch lightning in a bottle. Meanwhile, a weak event so far for Amy, Sung Hyun and Mirim. But if Jenn Song somehow wins this, do you think she makes the Solheim team? Interesting... GO INKY! SISTERS HWAITING!

I returned home after the first round...must have had a disruptive effect. ****** NO WAY is this course boring...the holes go in every direction, providing a variety of landscapes...the wind is completely random and unpredictable...the only commonality is the lack of water hazards (the turtle pond at #7 only bothers the hackers). Amazing how such a short course produces so many horrendous scores. I wonder how the grounds crew maintain the fescue in-season and off. Does it have to be cut down before winter comes? You might damage your mower blades chopping up golf balls.

It is a very good golf course, certainly better than most of the places the LPGA plays. I'm very surprised so many players skip this event. Perhaps they don't like a place that rewards good all around play. It is not surprising that two veterans with solid resumes tee off in the final group.

I'm usually a Seoul sisters guy but today I'll be bigly rooting for Paula. She still got it going on. A win could breathe some life into the very stale American ladies golf scene, which has basically been whittled down to Kerr/Thompson/Lincicome at this point.

Million-dollar question: How will Inky do these next two rounds? Well, like a million bucks so far!
