With T.O.P. currently away fulfilling his mandatory service commitment the other members of Big Bang will be doing stuff individually until each in turn gets his call up notice from the Military Manpower Administration so it could be a while before they're all back together. For now the biggest news will be the recently announced solo tour of their leader G-Dragon, who I first saw live at KCON 2014 in LA. The North American leg this summer will hit not just the NY and LA markets but other cities as well! The full itinerary:
- 2017.07.11 (TUE) Seattle, WA @ Key Arena - 2017.07.14 (FRI) San Jose, CA @ SAP Center - 2017.07.16 (SUN) Inglewood, CA @ The Forum - 2017.07.19 (WED) Houston, TX @ Toyota Center - 2017.07.21 (FRI) Chicago, IL @ United Center - 2017.07.25 (TUE) Miami, FL @ American Airlines Arena - 2017.07.27 (THU) Brooklyn, NY @ Barclays Center - 2017.07.30 (SUN) Toronto, ON @ Air Canada Centre Internet presale on Ticketmaster begins in most cities on 2 May at 10am local with the official public sale date of 5 May. Don't miss out if you have the chance!

I think this post is in English, but I'm not really sure... Oh come on now...hire a sitter and make a date night out of it. The other half will be screaming just as loud as the younger fan girls and you'll come away having witnessed a complete artiste at the top of his game. G-Dragon isn't just a singer and rapper: he's also a writer and producer as well as a style maven. In other words, he takes his craft and his image seriously.

Well, so much for T.O.P.'s enlistment as a conscripted police officer: they tested one of his hair follicles after rumors started circulating that he had spent an evening last fall smoking marijuana with a fellow actor (wouldn't he have had to take a blood test before he enlisted?). It came back positive, so they kicked him off the force and put his name back in the draft pool so he will have to reenlist at some point in the near future, probably in the military this time. It also prompted him to pen a handwritten apology to his fans admitting that he screwed up and promising to never make such a careless mistake again. At a recent fan meet in Japan the other members of Big Bang also addressed the issue, saying that they were sorry for their hyung's actions.
Back to G-Dragon for a moment: he is set to release a new album this coming Thursday titled "Kwon Ji Yong" (his real name), after which he will go through the domestic promotion cycle for the lead single(s) before resuming his world tour next month here in North America.

OK, this is not good: since my last post I've read that T.O.P. was found unconscious on the morning of the 6th and rushed to hospital, apparently from a prescription overdose. His mother visited him and contradicted police statements that he had briefly regained consciousness. Until he does the reason behind his condition will remain unknown.
