Hey, what do you know? Former LPGA player Soobin Kim went over to Korea and won a Jump tour event this past week. Congratulations to her! I wonder if this means she is looking to join the KLPGA?

Did Soo Bin terminate her LPGA membership...there's no info of her on lpga.com?

I think she quit the LPGA...notice these words in the Instagram pic below: haha but starting my first korean tour career just rightBut, I hope she returns to the LPGA if the minor leagues is too easy. I looked up this tournament (April 17-18)...Soobs (67-73-140) won by two strokes...first prize converts to about $5,269. She played at Yeonggwang CC, on the SW coast...course was set at par-72, 6,141 yards. I assume if she does well in the future, then she'll get bumped up to the Dream Tour. https://www.instagram.com/p/BTBLw51hKyv

I didn't pay att'n...she won in the KLPGA minor league V2...... and not even the Dream tour.
In 2013, I spoke with the asst women's U of Wash coach, Andrea....she said was frustrated that Soobin wasn't giving a 100% effort to excel.

The Jump tour is below the Dream Tour, but I think it's easier to get on that tour, so a lot of players just go for that tour rather than the Dream Tour. Yes, it's technically lower level, but when you are aiming to make the big leagues, it doesn't make much difference.

She has entered the next two Jump Tour events, both next week at the same golf course (April 24-25 and April 26-27). GO SOOBS!

I think the US equivalent of the Jump tour is the NCAA. Also known as the Chump Tour. Now that Hannah O is working with Dr. Won Park it is only a matter of time until she quits Duke and starts playing with the big kids.

In the first event this week, Soobs (74-69-143) finished T-14, three shots back of the winner.

In the second event this week, Soobs (74-69-143) finished T-9, seven shots back of the winner. This comeback business doesn't look so easy after all.

This isn't the Symetra Tour. The Jump and Dream Tours have serious competition.
