This is I am sorry to say, is one of Mo Martin few chances to win. The golf course is short enough and with the wind the big hitters advantage is not that much. No wind her chance of winning are not good.
The short hitters were already at a disadvantage. Now with the way the LPGA course setups are lately they have little or no chance. Unless their short game is outstanding, and they make a lot of putts.
Mo was a group ahead of the group that I was following at ANA. She was really struggling in the final round. She could not get her ball to stop on the green with those hybrids. Those tucked pin placements really hurt her chances to score. When she had to hit out of the rough, it was especially tough for her.

Terminator and Dumbo are the only players that really have something to prove this week. Their reputations are eroding weekly. Top 10 or 15 finishes aren't good enough. The excuses--wind, putting, chipping, back injuries, new clubs, etc. are no longer viable. Vare Trophies, wins in Korea and loyal fans mean nothing. Repeated victories on the LPGA are why they are here. What exactly are they waiting for?

fanofseriThey've been waiting for Ha Na, Amy, Inbee, Mirim and So Yeon to win first; out of respect for elders. They'll be waiting for Lydia, Sei Young, Minjee, Mi Jung, Hyo Joo and IK to win next; because they're nice.

Good trivia that stumped me...I only guessed Mannika correctly.. I remember that comeback by Annika. I think Pat Hurst had been in the lead and had a pretty big collapse. (I guess if you come back to win when you're down 10 shots, somebody had a collapse 🙄).

Pat totally collapsed on the back 9. Then Annika beat Super Peanut on the 1st playoff hole. That tournament sucked. Se Ri missed the cut, from what I remember. I think it was played Thursday, Friday and Saturday because of Easter. Hurst should have won way more.

It feels like this tournament is falling earlier in April than in prior seasons. Work considerations prevented me from even thinking of attending this year (but I still wish I was there!).
The "Presented by Hershey" part kills me. Hershey's visible participation is signage only. If you're thinking of a stand or cart of chocolaty treats on the grounds, no dice.

My recollection is that Peanut came from *11* shots back and would have had the all time record for biggest final round comeback if she had just beaten Annika in that playoff...

That was a bummer for me as I was really hoping Mi Hyun would win. I thought she played great. But I do remember when she beat Julie Inkster.

Looking forward to this one. Sixteen hours of primetime (east coast) coverage, possibly even live! Don't know if ESPN/CBS shows that much of the Masters.

In Gee is paired with Brooke Henderson and Michelle Wie starting at #10 on Thursday at 7:44 AM. This will be the most followed group for sure. www.lpga.com/leaderboard

Terminator is paired with a nobody and a has been. Hopefully, this is the wake up call she needs. She should win this Symetra quality event rather easily.
