From LET article on Monday qualifier in England:
Carly Booth, Caroline Hedwall, Meghan MacLaren and Kelsey MacDonald qualified for the 72nd U.S. Women’s Open conducted by the USGA at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., through Sectional Qualifying – Europe, at Buckinghamshire Golf Club near London on Monday.
Booth (70, 73) and Hedwall (73, 70) tied on 143, one-under-par, after 36 holes played in testing conditions.
After finishing two strokes back, MacLaren and MacDonald then earned their spots following a one-hole play-off with Valdis Thora Jonsdottir. The two Britons both made regulation pars on the par-3 ninth, despite the driving rain and swirling winds, while Jonsdottir bogeyed the hole.

Carly, Belen, Cheyenne. Fox won't have to show anybody else for at least two days. Yeah, let's keep our fingers crossed for Muni in Oregon next Monday. Along those lines, more good news: Nanna K. Madsen has a three-shot lead after the morning round in Mass. Her chances look pretty good, especially if she doesn't blow her stack. She just picked up her 2nd Symetra win of the year...do they still hand out battlefield promotions to the LPGA with three wins in a season? Only one qualifier and two alternates will be selected there. Top-10 from the AM: Pos. Player Total To Par Gross R1 1 Nanna Madsen Copenhagen, DEN -3 68 2 Alison Walshe Westford, MA E 71 T3 Brittany Altomare Tampa, FL +1 72 T3 Paula Hurtado Medellin, COL +1 72 5 Alexa Pano (a) Lake Worth, FL +2 73 6 Sandra Angulo Minarro Torreon, MEX +3 74 7 Taylor Totland (a) Tinton Falls, NJ +4 75 8 Angela Garvin (a) Feeding Hills, MA +5 76 T9 Jessica Carafiello Old Greenwich, CT +6 77 T9 Kyle Roig San Juan, PUR +6 77 T9 Laura Shanahan Rowe Hampton, NH +6 77

I missed this one...the field for the June 9 qualifier in New Smyrna Beach, FL. I have no news on how many spots are up for grabs. Yani will be here...how the mighty have fallen. She hopes there are at least two qualifiers selected, because she will NOT outplay Sagstrom. One dark horse is Nuria Iturrios of Spain, an LET player of some ability...played for Team Europe in Japan last December. Hotshot amateur Sierra Brooks has a chance. I'm skeptical on Elena Robles making it, but she has all the proper FOX visuals (ex-Big Break, 2017 Galloway pro-am). www.fsga.org/Tournament/PairingInfo/17783

The online scoreboard in Mass. is posting completed scores only. Nanna shot 71 in the PM, which gives an opening to the only two players that could go really low, Altomare and Walshe.
Paula Hurtado dropped out after shooting 72 in the AM...must have gotten injured or sick. Shop-Rite/Twitter poll candidate Susana Benavides shot 79 in the AM.

NK Madsen(left) nailed down the lone spot in Mass...with low am Alexa Pano. Alison Walshe was 1st alt. and Brittany Altomare was 2nd alt.

Angel Yin is a first alternate; she needs luck to get in and keeps her ROY dream alive.

Only 23 players are entered for the Korea qualifier on June 12. Almost all the prominent KLPGAers are skipping it, as usual, which leaves an open field for the amateurs. Unless her batteries get drained in Japan this weekend, Hye Jin Choi is a lock to nail it down. Don't know how many spots are available...it has been two in the past.

Well, that wasn't much of a surprise...Hye Jin Choi got her ticket punched, 67-67-134...two players, Narangyi Bae and Seung Ji Han, finished seven shots back, but I don't know which one is the alternate. Two players were DQs, don't know why.
