McIlroy signed a deal with TaylorMade for a reported $100 million to use the company’s clubs, balls and bag for the next 10 years. Nike retreated from the business of making golf equipment last year, though McIlroy still is being paid a reported $200 million by Nike to wear its clothing, shoes and caps for the next 10 years.
I don't get it...a couple of years ago TaylorMade was widely rumored to be on the block. TM's sales had really slumped and its boss was castigated for releasing three new drivers every year. It's hard to believe that Adidas is letting these guys run wild with the spending. If you have DJ, then getting Rory is wasted overkill.
Hey, the interpreter lady is not bad...wonder what she'd look like in a knee-high golf outfit.
BTW, I watched a YTN news clip to confirm that all the U.S.-based broadcasters were pronouncing Kim's name wrong. It is not "SEE Woo Kim"...it is "SHEE Woo Kim" (or Kim Shee Woo).
Some folks on GolfWrx correctly stately that Jason Day showed up looking like a slob...but, I'll give him a pass because THIS IS NOT A MAJOR.

That's right, there's no real "see" syllable in the Korean language. (Thus in Korea, our favorite American LPGA'er is known as "Stae Shee" Lewis.)
If you want to get real hardcore, there is no actual "w" sound in Si Woo. It's more like "oo". They just put a "w" in front so westerners don't freak out.
You've probably heard that cliche about lies: There are lies, damned lies, and statistics.
The people who have a vested interested in the statistical blizzard that covers the PGA Tour these days must be in a panic. In the tourney post-game wrap-up, GC said SW Kim was DFL in total driving (even worse than Luke Donald!) coming into the week. Also, the combination of all his stats ranked him as the worst (#207) player on the tour...meaning Steven Bowditch was better than him!!!
Apparently he has a balky back and won't play this week...needs to get rid of Sean Foley, pronto.
Just read that there are some stupid distances between green & tee on Erin Hills.
Supposedly ER is in the middle of no where....Milwaukee is only 35 miles away. This event is not sold out?....why not? Is it too far from Chitown? and people are not willing to pay jacked up hotel rates in Milwaukee?
Or is the USGA willing to print off 80,000+ tickets per day?
