DJ is blowing the field away like Spieth did last week; we won't know who's the man to beat for a while.

The Dechambeau fiasco spells out the danger of being a maverick. POSER...he's so lucky he conned Cobra/Puma. I have seen the single length irons at Golftown. Last week at the golf show I was able to hit them. I'm not a great long iron hitter....but the single length 5 iron felt solid...but it's only 1" shorter than norm and I don't think it's simply butt trimmed....they had the new flighted KBS tours. But I need to try them on grass....everything feels solid hitting off a mat......I doubt Cobra has sold many of these sets....but they spent ZERO money on R&D bringing them to market. I was chatting with the Cobra rep and we are both surprised Cobra has not forced Lexi to upgrade her S3 Forged irons.....Fowler always plays the latest and greatest...but Fowler singlely is the only one that sell anything Puma/Cobra. Fowler is a classy guy...I hope he wins many events including majors and becomes one of the BIG 3. That was a little f*** up today....driver & 7 iron on a 545 yd 18th par 5 with an approach over water. The PGA should be playing courses over 8000 yds...but many tracks...including the old classics don't have the acreage to be stretched out. Seeing the REAL Dumbo hit driver that never seemed to want to drop from the sky at Chambers Bay was kinda nutty.

Today, I was at Golf Town in K-Town. Everything must go. The owner will wheel and deal.
Its a typical Korean shop-- crammed to the gills with clubs. You can see the inside by using Google maps.
The best store in Southern Calif. is Orange Golf & Sports in Garden Grove. I can't imagine there are many places in the US with more Japanese equipment. 3putt is right, my fingers wrap around the grips twice.

How long has this Golf Town been in business?....if under 15 years...I assume Golftown here could sue them....but likely not winning as your GT is not a threat to GT here. Are there specific courses in LA that are dominated by Koreans?....I can name 5 courses here dominated by Koreans although they play all over Vancouver too.

DJ has 2 wins this year; followed by Spieth with one. Pretenders Thomas and Matsuyama seem to be fading away.

Masters The REAL Dumbo is playing well. Spieth has finished 2,1,2 at Augusta and obviously Rory needs it for the career slam...but with all this pressure on both...gag/choking is common.
For some reason...I like FIGJAM as a top 10 and will pick him in my pool.
Thomas is having swing issues as of late and Hideki can be a mental midget at times...especially with the flat stick. Ya never know which Fowler will show up...I say he's outside the top 10 in Augusta.
I'd love to see Augusta...still no luck in the lotto...WTF....Wed tix are going for $3500...I assume that's a pair...WTF.

I don't think there'll be azaleas blooming at the Masters this year. On Hilton Head they were blooming early in February, about a month early. I don't think even the Masters' folks can delay them that long.

It's a strange day for Rory McIlroy; ball striking was all over the places but putting and srambling saved his life.
I like his chances this week.
