Like the CME, the Queen of Queens is a limited field event where players accumulate points all year in order to qualify. Those points carry over, and they earn more points during the competition. The player with the most points at the end of two rounds wins the thing. It's a bit difficult to follow, but I'm sure the commentators will explain it to you (if you watch and understand Korean!). The top ten players are as follows: 1. Jin Young Ko 8936 2. Seung Hyun Lee 8213 3. Sung Hyun Park 8055 * 4. Seon Woo Bae 7823 5. Su Yeon Jang 7125 6. Hae Rym Kim 6992 7. Min Young Lee 2 6656 * 8. Min Sun Kim 5 6087 * 9. Hee Won Jung 5722 10. Yoon Ji Cho 5139 However, the official field does not contain the three starred players (not sure why Min Sun Kim is not there, but Lee is preparing for JLPGA Q School and Park is done with the KLPGA at this point). In their places are 11. Cecilia Cho 4814, plus invites Soo Jin Yang and Gyeol Park. Those two have such low point totals that I have to think they will be spotted some total to give them any chance of winning, since neither were in the top 20 in the rankings (Park was 23rd, Yang 51st) Action starts November 19th!

Where's Dean Herdin? I have no clue why Jin Young Ko didn't try to qualify for the LPGA.
I expect the Korean internet trolls to start calling JYK a BIG LOSER cause she won't follow the Terminator to the LPGA.

Round 1 I haven't been able to get onto the KLPGA website, but here is what seems to be the leaderboard after day one. Yoon Ji Cho shot a 65 (7 birdies, no bogies) to move into a tie for the lead with Jin Young Ko. Cho won this event last year. Jin Young Ko was four under on the day, but is tied for the lead because she had a 3 shot lead over Cho to start the day thanks to her season performance. Next is Seung Hyun Lee, who is at 6 under after a 68 matched with a 2 under bonus to start the day. (At the start of the day, the season leader, Ko, started at 3 under; the next two at 2 under, the next three at 1 under, and everyone else at even par) One more day tomorrow! Yoon Ji Cho Jin Young Ko

Round 2 Seung Hyun Lee has won this year's edition of the Queen of Queens. Again, I have not been able to find the full leaderboard, but this is what I read online: Lee shot a 2 under par 70 (4 birdies, 2 bogies) on Sunday. Her total for the week was 8 under. It was not an easy win. If I understand correctly, there was a four-way tie at the top when action ended. Jin Young Ko, Su Yeon Jang and Hae Rym Kim were all tied with Lee. But Lee ended up winning on the third playoff hole with a 1.5 m putt. Defending Champ Yoon Ji Cho was tied for 5th with Soo Jin Yang at 4 under. Cognrats to Seung Hyun Lee!

I only saw a last minute highlight....I think the winner drained a 30 ft putt.

If the KLPGA wants to be considered big leagues...they need to build 18th grandstands and ban the use of pull carts.
