"While the LPGA's schedule reflects its international membership, it is still an American-based association. Televising many of those international events in the middle of the night for what amounts to nearly three months of the total schedule really hurts the momentum that is built up during the bulk of the year." ********* Yawn...it's a JOKE to continue mentioning that the LPGA is US based...who cares. Mericans have continually demonstrated their lack of interest in women's golf....why bring it up anymore. And who cares that the Yanks only had 2 wins this year.....either commit for excellence and work hard or shut up....enough already. If you don't want to watch LPGA in the middle of the night....then get some Merican corporations to buck up and sponsor some domestic events. But clearly that's not happening...so stop your Merican whining and just be happy the Asians are keeping the LPGA afloat...nuff said.

The WRX thread seems very pro Stacy to me. Thanks for the link. Obviously you don't understand the dynamics of some of the WRX member who support Lewis. Like the guy and the wife.....who actually chat with each other in the forum...that is so laughable and another member who defends Ms. Pouty Face like she's his daughter.

Lydia hit great shots on 17 and 18, they just didn't spin. I could see her dropping Callaway along with Leadbetter and her caddie. I never played Callaway irons or balls. Is it hard to get them to spin? I play with a golfer that plays Callaway clubs, and his approach shots, always get run out on the greens. He says he plays the softer Callaway ball. It's not the greens because I play Nike 20xi distance balls, and they spin even with a four iron. I Ping irons. Just wondering. What Ping irons do you play and what shafts? Do you have a G30 driver....I luv that club. Yes....Callaway clubs are just like other major OEM clubs and will spin.....I think different shafts have a biiger influence on spin vs. the clubhead. In the last 4 years .....Cally has introduced great balls...before that....I found their balls to firm and clicky. Lydia plays the Chrome Soft (but I don't know if it's a model not for retail consumption). I have played the Chrome Soft and it's a good ball....but every now and then I'll get some "hot" iron shots. The SuperSoft is a really good ball for $20 retail...but can be inconsistent with even more "hot" iron shots. The SR 1,2 3 series were good...and Lydia was playing the SR3 last year...but is was surprising considering the SR3 is meant for SS > 105 mph. Now defunct...but the Hex Chrome & Hex Chrome+ balls were really good. I find so many golf balls...so I have a good inventory of all the above balls to keep playing along with other OEM balls. Lydia doesn't obtain spin on some shots because she doesn't have enough club head speed.....but we saw bombers like Ariya and Charley not having issues spinning mid iron approaches last weekend. If indeed Lydia goes PXG...I suspect she'll go back to a Pro V1...the ball she use to play. I've yet to hit a 'hot' iron shot off a ProV1. But knowing Tina...she'll shop the market...heck we could (God Forbid) even see Lydia playing a Volvik is enough money was waved into Tina's face.

Long ball on the PGA? The men easily have 3 out of 4 par 5's reachable by all players each week. The tournament officials don't need the players' input to know that the fans like the drama of a reachable par 5.
The men generally hit less than 7 iron into most par 4's. If you move the women to 6600 to 6800 yards, then the men need to be moved back to 7500+ yards, with only 1 par 5 less than 600 yards.

news.joins.com/article/20906538This Korean article reported the difference of 0.013 between In Gee and Lydia was the second smallest in history; Beth Daniel (70.904) beat Laura Davies (70.909) by 0.005 in 1994. Lydia averaged 70.079 in her rookie season in 2014; this is the record In Gee (69.583) broke. By the way, In Gee's average is the eighth lowest in LPGA history; Annika's average of 68.70 in 2002 is the only under 69.00 average ever recorded. I guess that answers my question about course difficulty. If In Gee's average is only the 8th best, they must have had some easy setups in the past, too.

Yeah, I agree that the Chrome Soft can produce "hot" shots. I tried a sleeve, and I was getting 10 yards more on some wedge shots, which is no good when you have your distances dialed in and you wind up over the green.

I don't think the courses need to be that much longer (although I think a 212 yard par four is ridiculous). I do wish the fairways were a bit narrower, though, and that there was actually some penalty in missing them.

3Putt I use Ping I3 Plus irons. I just changed the shafts to graphite. I still think the head is the best for me. I have Taylormade MI driver and woods.
On another note. They mentioned on the Awards show that Ariya mental coach were Pia Nilsen and Lynn Marriott, Vision 54. I did not know they were still together. Lynne still has a Golf Academy I first saw them when they were working with Ai Miyzato, here at the Legacy Golf Resort. Ai let me watch one of her practice sessions.
