We have generally wet hard panned sand here....it is so much easier than the fluffy white sand at some on the Florida courses. I also hate damp bermuda fairways and rough...common in Florida...I find it so difficult.....one needs to be a picker off that stuff. I'm also not used to it. Although it is not common here...but more so in the NE...I love hitting off well conditioned bent grass fairways....you can slash a foot long divot while still hitting a flush iron....love it. We have only Bermuda in the summer and Rye in the winter. Some courses tried bent, but it just got burned out. Needed to be watered to much. My problem with Bermuda grass are mainly the wedges, when the ground is wet, not so much the mid irons. The greens are also grainy.

I guess In Gee will have played enough rounds to qualify if she wins.

I've always found the firm/hard bermuda conditions in Arizona, Vegas and St. Georges, Utah....easier than the moist bermuda fairways/rough I've played in Florida, Alabama, Hawaii and Thailand.

My main interest in election today is whether Trump will receive less electoral votes than Mondale in 1984; which was 13.

I need to tread lightly as Happy will think this is too political...so I'll just say this once without debate. Seems like a lot of Democrats on this site...but the typical golfer demographic is Republican....therefore this must be a FAKE golf site.

It is going to be interesting in the foreseeable future. My money is on Kerr. Landslide victory. The Koreans need to take a deep breath and prepare for 2017.

US Open for ladies at Riviera with kikuyu at 3/4 strength would be one of biggest tournaments in modern US Womens Open history. They could make +3 winner without even trying.

I've never golfed in Florida, but I'll gladly skip courses like this one. Water on or near every hole...what a monotonous, contrived layout...worse than TPC Sawgrass. Phil do you only like tree lined Golf Courses. We took a seven day golfing vacation to Doral Country Club in Miami. It poured down rain four of the seven days, that we were there. However we did get to play the red, the white and the blue course. The blue course was a really tough course. Crass and phony are two words that come to mind when I look at the map of Tiburon. Instead, just walk holes #3 thru #7 at Lancaster CC...a beautiful stretch of five classy holes that have water to varying degrees. The LPGA could never go wrong by adding William Flynn designs to their schedule, if possible.
