Also Grace. She was a better college player than 80% of the current pros. There will always be a few collegiate players who will shine through in the pros...but most will fail or not even qualify. But for the women nowadays....the complete 4 years of US college model is almost dead...the gals are being pushed so young...one should know by 21 if they can make a living playing on the LPGA. Muni likely will play 4 years of collegiate golf cause she's not good enough for the LPGA...the full 4 years will allow her the FULL due diligence to screen out any posers/suitors for her hand in marriage who don't have a REAL net worth of $25M.

Lorena and Annika. I still had a full head of hair and a 32" inch waist. Ancient history. I still have my hair but no 32" waist...but I'll still sport a white belt (it's actually reversible to black too) every now and then when playing golf....the Korean women judge you how you look....if you have no fashion sense....there's no invite to play golf with them....but I stop at the flat brim....I see too many old clowns wearing the flat brim...they are posers...trying to be tough and gangsta. I don't wear a hat and often wear curdoroy pants I purchased 25 years ago. That explains why I'm single.

USGA has the say in who has the amateur status. They changed the rule so that those who fail Q school can retail their amateur status. But aren't those players entering Q School as Am's...so aren't they still retaining their Am's status during the entire qualification process/duration? Law and Macguire entered as Am's and still are until they decided when and where they declare themselves as pros. "Changed". The rule was changed quite some time ago. Before, if u signs up for Q School , u kiss college golf goodbye. I suppose in those days, most college players stayed for 4 years instead of rolling the dice in Q school.

Thanks for the link. I don't understand the purpose of the new regulations. I do know if a girl is playing NCAA golf, she'll never be good enough to dominate on the LPGA. So he's setting up a televised tournament to compete with LPGA events? Seems a little suspect. This also means that an LPGA golfer will know before the Asian swing starts that she will not finish in the top 100, which will probably be true, but perhaps not? And, of course, this will heavily preclude Asian stars from participating in Q-School. How convenient. I still think he should offer membership to any player in the top 50 in the world rankings, provided they pay whatever entry fees they would normally pay if they went through Q-School. Why wouldn't you want the best possible players on your tour? Why make it easy for second and third tier talents to get on tour through Symetra and Q-School while locking out players like Jin Young Ko?

If Whan really wants to stop Asians from playing on tour, he needs to elevate white player's golf games. The only solution is to establish Golf Gulags ala Dr. Won Park. Butch Harmon, Gary Gilchrist and Cameron McCormick need to start training young Americans by the age of 8 or 9. David Leadbetter could pitch in and help players have successful careers on the Symetra Tour or maybe even the LET.

No one is locking anyone out....all players are able to register and qualify as long as one meets any requirements for the Q School process. There's really nothing stopping any pro/Am from registering. What's stopping some of these pros from registering from Q School?.......lack of confidence.....Q school is a pressure cooker....it's not a given to get through. Seems like the Koreans themselves are the ones to blame to void more KLPGA pros from qualifying. Wasn't SKY registered for 2013 Q-school...only to WD because of the KLPGA BS of a fine for not defending a title which conflicted with Q School....then SKY's game fell apart....she lost confidence...and I believe has not registered for Q School since....nuff said.

Better yet...why doesn't the Good Doctor set up robot golf factory franchises in the US. KFC, Starbucks, McD's, etc became global entities....so why not pasty face international golf schools? Isn't there Lead Poisoning academies in China?...yes the Chinese are not the smartest people and can get snowed every now and then. Hopefully the Good Doctor is keen enough to ban students from bringing their Samsung Galaxy Note s7 phones to the academy or have a lot of fire extinguishers in each classroom. I assume there are quite a few Samsung exec's now working in some rice fields in North Korea for 5 years.

On the contrary, I think this is a change that would actually facilitate the TOP (key word here is TOP, not 2nd tier) Korean/Foreign stars to come over.
It is no secret that the biggest source of income of LPGA is Korean TV rights. I very much doubt Mike Whan would make any change that could potentially dissuade the top Korean stars from coming over. You can be assured that the new "Q series" will include some form of exemptions for the top players from other tours, either based on Rolex world ranking or money list.
Today's Q School requires most of the foreign pros to make TWO separate trips, for stage 2 and 3(or even stage 1 for the low ranked ones), which is a real hassle. But under the new proposed "Q Series", they only have to make ONE trip, for 2 or 3 weeks. And if it is late October or early November, all is left in the KLPGA are just some bullxxxx events.
The real people that will be screwed under this are the 2nd tier foreign pro, and college players who want to roll the dice at the Q School. Those will have no choice but to join the Symetra Tour.

Lydia most likely will widen her lead over In Gee for Vare Trophy; best hope is that she doesn't deliver a knock out punch of -20 or lower.
