I somehow think Minjee is a natural introvert.....from what I've seen of her.....I think she'd rather not have any fan interaction if it was her choice...but she knows she has to do it for her 'image'. I think many golfers are introverts. Part of the problem is that there simply isn't much to say! When asked how she shot such a good round, what are you supposed to say? I spend hours and hours practicing, and eventually it starts to pay off? She basically responded with the same 'ol tired cliched "One shot at a time". "Didn't get ahead of myself". At least she didn't start thanking supernatural beings, as if a multi-dimensional, omnipotent, all powerful being gives a rat's a** about knocking a white ball in a gopher hole. It's more than just what she says; she just seems really uncomfortable at times saying it. And often as soon as the interview is done, she starts wandering off camera, then catches herself. Look, I think she's great, one of my faves, but she just needs to work on presentation; I think I've read the LPGA provides media training.

I suppose withdrawing was inevitable. Go home, Na Yeon...mentally and physically rest, reset and come back next year.

Surprised that Minjee had such a tough day. It looked liked she would cake walk to the Trophy. If she don't win I hope Jessica wins, I would be happy to see either win. However Ariya is only one shot back. So they can't just concentrate on each other.

Jessica doesn't contend often but knows how to finish. Makes for an interesting final round. Jessica could wear those ugly pants, she sometimes wear and scare everybody.

This looks like a classic Jessica tournament.
playing on a foreign soil, 3 rounds of par or better; and she is near the top after 3 rounds.
Look out, world!

Round 3 Not a very enjoyable round to watch for me, as all my faves struggled and a bunch of long hitters vaulted into contention. Hopefully Minjee will shake it off and reassert herself. And really hope we get some wind tomorrow to make it a little more challenging for the heavy hitters. Hwaiting!

1) I don't buy the injury thing either. If you are hurt, take time off, no reason to subject yourself to humiliation week after week like she has been lately. 2) NYC is on a path of self destructive behavior. Possibly to spitefully show her EX. It's one way to get the whole thing out of her system. Once she hits rock bottom (her 49 yesterday on the front 9?) and done with the wallowing. She can finally have closure. 1) Yup...NYC's 2nd shot into the 18th in rd 1 was nothing short of brilliant...not something that could be accomplished with a back injury. 2) Great analogy....kudos. Whatever!

Sei Young hasn't been herself since she won Meijer LPGA Classic; two top 10 and two missed cuts in her last 8 tournaments.
It doesn't look like she will defend this week; golf is hard.

LPGA is lucky to have Brooke Henderson; a top 5 player who's there every week. Her only PGA counterpart is Patrick Reed, but he doesn't play nearly as much as Brooke.

What the hell happened to Dumbo? Long year. I say rest up and keep playing opossum as Lydia slowly hands over the Vare trophy.

This one will be hard to predict 1) Minjee gagged in rd 3 and lost her 6 stroke lead....and her final rd scoring isn't the greatest except at the Lotte. 2) Korda is streaky...with her power ....doesn't take advantage of the par 5's like she should be...same with Lexi....I think it will hard to back up another low rd. 3) IMO...Ariya doesn't have a killer instinct to bust down Minjee and Korda.
My only prediction is a 2 women playoff.
