It's Christmas for the locals, as all the big name Koreans (BML, Sky, Shin, Ahn, Mi Jeong Jeon, and Ji Hee Lee) are skipping this one. Maybe they attended Se Ri's farewell party. RANK PLAYER SCORE TODAY 1R 2R 3R TOTAL 1T Kotone Hori -5 -5 67 67 1T Ritsuko Ryu -5 -5 67 67 3 Esther Lee -4 -4 68 68 4T Mamiko Higa -3 -3 69 69 4T Mayu Hattori -3 -3 69 69 4T Miyu Shinkai -3 -3 69 69 4T Riho Fujisaki -3 -3 69 69 4T Erina Yamato -3 -3 69 69 9T Kana Nagai -2 -2 70 70 9T Shiho Toyonaga -2 -2 70 70 9T Miki Saiki -2 -2 70 70 9T Ah-Reum Hwang -2 -2 70 70 9T Hiroko Azuma -2 -2 70 70 9T Megumi Kido -2 -2 70 70 9T Yukari Nishiyama -2 -2 70 70 9T Hiromi Mogi -2 -2 70 70 9T Rikako Morita -2 -2 70 70 9T Kumiko Kaneda -2 -2 70 70 A high finish by Ritsuko Ryu could put her past BML in the Mercedes Points standings...gagging at the JWO seems to be a distant memory for Kotone Hori Teresa Lu(+3) and Ah Reum Hwang Ayaka Matsumori(E) and Erina Hara(-1) Esther Lee

I read that Jiyai Shin was at Se Ri's retirement party; not sure about the others, although I also saw a video with Sun Ju Ahn in it that was probably shot at the Hana Bank.

Thanks, it works well, except for the buffering spasms (some short, some long). That mokodojo.net site looks like a keeper. I'm going to bed soon so I can pick up the back half of this round on SBS Golf. If there was ever a week for a first-time winner, this is it. It's Moving Day for Ayaka Matsumori(-5 thru 13 holes, -5 overall, two shots out of lead) Ayaka Watanabe and Kotono Kozuma Mayu Hattori and Kotone Hori

Ayaka! 64! Don't blow it tomorrow, the Japanese golf magazines need a new cover girl... ...although Kotone would be a good 2nd choice. Earlier in the week, Shinobu Moromizato(not in field) filled in as a manager of a golf shop...nice to have something to fall back on. Minami Katsu(-1) sure plays this tour a lot for an amateur

Minami Katsu is youngest winner on the jlpga tour winning the vandelin cup in 2014 at age 15.
Nasa Hataoka is the youngest to win the JWO and the youngest to enter jlpga as a pro at age 17.
repeat info: nasa hataoka was named after NASA the US Space Agency by her parents to soar high in life.

the mokodojo link is up and showing the -3 players teeing off the first hole and the leaders at the practice range, its 5:30pm in socalif now. if the screen seems to freeze just re-highlight the url and reload the link, takes about 10 secs.
another fact: shinobu moromizato is a 9 time winner on the jlpga but since her peak around 2009 her stroke ave has gone from about 71 to 76 and has missed the cut in all her tournaments this year.

I've had the live feed running for about 45 minutes. It hasn't stopped completely, but it keeps buffering and pixelating...it's ridiculous and I'm using a cable modem. I'm shutting it off after the last group (Ayaka, Hori, Ryu) finish playing the 8th hole, then get up later for the SBS Golf feed. My first choice for the win would be Ayaka Matsumori...knockout swing and knockout looks! She's still gaming an "outdated" driver. Holy moly, she just rolled in a birdie putt at #7 (12-15 foot range), now leads by one stroke at -11. Kotone Hori is cute, but her swing is not...my second choice for the win. I don't want Ritsuko Ryu to win...it's old hat for her.

It was much closer than the scores below indicate. Ryu and Hori hacked and chunked their way around the 18th green with triples and doubles, respectively. Ayaka missed almost every fairway and green on the last five holes, but made par on all of them. Ryu's 2nd place finish puts her within 5.5 Mercedes Points of tour leader Bo Mee Lee. A three-second video of the winner...I don't know what she's saying: www.facebook.com/TaylorMadeGolfJP/videos/vb.162537607124901/1285523291492988/RANK PLAYER SCORE 1R 2R 3R TOTAL PRIZE 優勝 Ayaka Matsumori -12 72 64 68 204 ¥14,400,000 2 Ritsuko Ryu -8 67 68 73 208 ¥7,040,000 3 Kotone Hori -7 67 68 74 209 ¥5,600,000 4T Megumi Kido -4 70 71 71 212 ¥4,400,000 4T Mamiko Higa -4 69 71 72 212 ¥4,400,000 6T Teresa Lu -3 75 67 71 213 ¥2,400,000 6T Miki Saiki -3 70 71 72 213 ¥2,400,000 6T Rikako Morita -3 70 71 72 213 ¥2,400,000 6T Erina Yamato -3 69 71 73 213 ¥2,400,000 6T Saki Nagamine -3 71 69 73 213 ¥2,400,000 11T Misuzu Narita -2 74 70 70 214 ¥1,448,000 11T Eri Okayama -2 72 72 70 214 ¥1,448,000 The last group at #18 (edited) w/ grandfather w/ mom Asuka Kashiwabara aced #13 (160 yards) Ryu's lie in this bunker in front of the 18th green was so bad that she tried to hit it out sideways...it was short and she had to hit another sand shot sideways. Low am Minami Katsu and Teresa Lu Erina Yamato wearing Puma baseball jacket for golf, never saw that before...I assume it's too restrictive to wear for a full swing.
