I read an article this morning revealing some new player signings.
Hana Bank has signed Se Ri Pak to a two year deal! Ominously, the article said it was 'Se Ri's final sponsorship deal before retirement', which sounds pretty much like it confirms she will retire after the 2016 season. Hana Bank also continued its association with So Yeon Ryu and Hee Young Park, but ended their deal with IK Kim. Also signing to Hana bank is MJ Hur.
The article also mentioned some news about Hanwha, which have signed 3-time KLPGA winner and Queen of Queens winner Min Young Lee to a 2 year deal. She joins Chae Young Yoon, Jenny Shin, Haeji Kang, Eun Hee Ji and several others.
Lastly, Hite Jinro re-upped with 'Most Popular Player' In Gee Chun, signing her to three more years.

Inbee Park and Jin Young Ko signed with Wide Angle, which looks like a Golf wear company. Here comes another patch on Inbee's clothes! The deal runs for a year starting next January 1st.

Happy Thx for the pics of Bo.....SWEET! S. Korean gals really like the high end niche Euro brand clothing including Louie Castel......I had never heard of these expensive brands until I read them hear.
I'm so disappointed Sky and Sharon ARE NOT LPGA members....I really would like to watch them play......but I still have my fav Sista to root for...THE ROCKET!!!...and now THE MINI ROCKET.........but I'll see so many new faces at the 2015 CN CWO in August.
Happy & Vern...you should venture here instead of Portland...the field will be superior north of the border and KoreanTown is only a par 5 west of the course. Your green back is also worth 1.2 to our $$$$.
Or better yet....go to both.

IK Kim has switched from Hana Bank to new sponsor Hanwha. Here's a pic of her with her new hat! Hoping to see a lot of that hat when she wins a Major this year!

Le Coq Sportif, the high-end golf clothing maker, has released a new video showing some of the golfers they have under contract at a photo shoot. Among the ladies you can see in this clip are Ha Neul Kim, Bo Mee Lee, KLPGA star sophomores Min Sun Kim and Ji Hyun Oh (w another lesser known KLPGA player, Jimin Kim, who is far right in the above photo)!

Nice to see Se Ri obtain another sponsor.
Volvik had a bit of traction with their Crystal ball about 10-15 years ago. It was a unique novelty balls. My wife loved the balls.....but she shoots 105.
They didn't take that momentum to quickly create a premium urethane ball to gain more credibility with the masses....they only recently launched the S3 & S4 in a very competitive market place.
I think Volvik is a fairly popular ball in S. Korea....but I've only see a Volvik in play only once when playing golf and that was recently by a Korean lady and she was not Volvik brand loyal....she played many other brands.
Srixon has done a good job marketing their golf balls with a reasonable amount of market share.
I think if Volvik was to really catch on they may have to buy a brand recognized golf OEM....but I'm not sure how well capitalized Volvik is to purchase another company.

You're right. I only hear about Volvik because of their sponsorships. I have never seen a weekend player hitting a Volvik.

Uh, not a good idea for In Bee Park to sign up with a clothing brand that has the word "Wide" in it.
Descente is the parent company that produces Korean golf attire for Le Coq and Munsingwear. They still have those brands, but I guess they though they needed to create a brand with their own name.
Hanwha has an office not far from my house...I wonder if there's any visual acknowledgement inside the building of their terrific endorsees.
Volvik had a display of split golf balls in the swag tent area of last year's Shop-Rite in AC. It's the first time I remember seeing them there, so they seem to be reaching out beyond their pro players. Mi Hyang Lee plugged the ball to her amateurs in her pro-am.
I recall Shin Ae Ahn saying on Twitter that she's delighted with extra distance she's getting from her new TM R15 driver. She recently got delivery of the new TM Aero Burner 3 & 5 woods.
