Earlier in the season I said Ariya was good for 5 wins. Many on here laughed. Even Bankokbobby was amused. Well it's looking more like 7 or 8 is possible. Tony, you also said the "big 3" of the Wonder kid, Lexi and In Gee will dominate the LPGA for the foreseeable future, barring injury. But that was a big balls prediction, I'll give you that.

more pics and video on my blog: Is It Time To Reassess Ariya Jutanugarn After 5th Win Of 2016 LPGA Season At Canadian Pacific Women’s Open?Ariya Jutanugarn is All Smiles5 for 5. Since May of this year, Ariya Jutanugarn has held the 54-hole lead in an LPGA event 5 times. She has gone on to win the title all 5 times, including this week at the 2016 Canadian Pacific Women’s Open. Don’t look now, but a player whose claim to fame has been collapsing under pressure is tranforming into a closer. After a bogey-par-bogey finish on Saturday let In-Gee Chun back into the hunt, joined by a streaking fellow Seoul Sister Sei-Young Kim on Sunday, Ariya refused to let go of her lead, eventually matching the Canadian Open aggregate score record (265) of Lydia Ko (2013) and So-Yeon Ryu (2014), as well as the lowest score in relation to par (-23) which she now shares with Ryu (2014). It all added up to a 4 shot cushion over Sei-Young Kim and a 5 shot margin over In-Gee Chun. Ariya JutanugarnWhether it’s Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott of Vision 54 working with her or her time with coach Gary Gilchrist…or maybe just maturity from all of her past LPGA struggles, each win is coming with a greater sense of calm. It’s starting to become almost…inevitable. There are no tears of joy mixed with relief or shaking limbs like in her first couple of wins. This is not to say she doesn’t still spray some shots. At both the Ricoh Women’s Open and CP Women’s Open, both national Opens she has won in back to back tour schedule events, there have been points where she looked like she was cruising to easy, almost record, wins until a couple of wayward holes let it get closer than it should have been. Still, more and more it’s beginning to look like the name “A. Jutanugarn” atop a leaderboard going into Sunday sends a message to the rest of the field that they are playing for second place. Don’t get me wrong. She will eventually cough up a lead. Multiple times. It happens to the best of them. Like everybody before her, the hot streak will end. All I’m suggesting is that the mental image of her falling apart might need to be left in the past. If you are rooting for a player who is competing against her on Sunday, the best thing would be to root for that player to go really low…not wait for Ariya to implode and hand the tournament to them. That might not be who she is anymore. 1 ARIYA JUTANUGARN (-23) 2 SEI-YOUNG KIM (-19) 3 IN-GEE CHUN (-18)

...as for predictions...some come true, some dont...8 wins in 2017 is still a very long shot...even after her first two wins, Ariya still had a lot to prove...I still don't think 8 in 2017 will happen...not because I don't believe in her talent...I just have tons of respect for Lydia Ko, Sei-Young Kim, In-Gee Chun, Lexi Thompson, etc...what if Stacy Lewis starts winning again...and the best women's golfer on the planet when healthy and focused might still be Inbee Park...don't know what her future holds...

Hmmmm...trying to displace the resident expert? When did you make this prediction?...after her 4th win....lol. If you said Ariya was good for 5 wins then why did you place her 32nd in your January predictions? So what pros did you fanboy??....Dumbo??...oh wait...she has black hair. www.tonyslpgareport.com/search/label/PredictionsI said it after her 2nd win. I guess HYP who I followed today must be blond then. Tonyj You might be able to fool lesser men...but not the Smiling Buddha. Hmmmm....so why would Tony follow the Rocket? 1) Because the Smiling Buddha asked him?....NOPE 2) Because he wanted to know what color knee highs the LOVELY HYP was wearing?....NOPE. 3) Because you wanted to see if HYP was still playing JPZ 825 Pro's.....NOPE. 4) You woke up this morning and said...."Cindy....let's go watch this Canadian no name amateur named Jaclyn Lee"....NOPE. Hmmmm...this one is REALLY hard to figure out. Oh wait. Who was the 3rd in HYP's group? ....hmmmm....RYANN O'TOOLE....hmmmmm....and she's also a blond Merican. Because you other fav Yanks: Lexi didn't play JMG didn't make the cut And the big PHONY...Mrs. Heath...decided to stay home and bake cookies for hubby. Hopefully you followed the BLACK HAIRED final group once you finished fanboying Ryann. Tony...you following a pairing of Sista's would be like Happyfan following a group of REAL non Asian Yanks....ain't gonna happen. Asian Lives Matter! Make Calgary Warm Again!

Great round by Sei Young also, to finish second. I hope In Gee learned something watching how Sei Young plays final rounds. This is the second time that she has been paired with her in the final group. The other time at the Meijer tournament Sei Young came back to win. I totally agree; being lapped by Ariya is one thing but to fall out of contention early and be overtaken by Sei Young in 2 consecutive final final pairing isn't right. However, there are positives; In Gee shot her most under par tournament of the year and took over No. 2 in scoring. She also moved to No. 9 in official money ($885,300).

I'd have more confidence seeing May win 8 events vs. Ms. Pouty Face winning balance of year. Ya...May's riding a hot streak....but her game is pretty tight right now....her length is a huge advantage.....outside of a 2nd shot on a par 5....when was the last time we saw her hit something longer than a 7 or 5 iron into even a long par 4....and she's demonstrating she a good putter. Her 2 lag putts from 50 ft on the back nine were outstanding and she was clutch making that 7 birdie on 18...eve though Bada*s had walked on her line (more a mental thing) so she could putt out last. IMO...May she should not play so much......May and Moriya play a lot of events....if not for Moriya....I think May might have pulled out of the Manulife...but the family travels together.....so hopefully she limits her practice next week. I think 24/7 golf is catching up with the Cdn Princess.

Actually we followed HYP because my wife and I chatted with her several times during the week. She actually asked us if we were going to follow her. I told her if she made the cut that we would definitely fit her into our schedule. We kept our word and she was a blast. Laughing and joking with us throughout the round. Got to see a side of her we never saw before. She was one of the highlights of our week. We had followed Ryann on Thursday. The fact that she was paired with HYP on Sunday was a bonus. Huh....you've been to well over 200 days of LPGA events in the last 6-7 years and it took you this long to figure out that The Rocket is #AWESUMMER. You should have followed HYP on Saturday when she was paired with Phil's drool girl MHL and the Entitled Canadian Princess. HYP is no Korean robot....she likely never has many fanboys watching her...especially at Merican venues with limited Asian fans. As much as I like the LOVELY HYP....I've yet to watch her play more than 3-5 holes at a time....maybe next time I'll try to watch her for 18 holes....but there are too many pros to watch......I'd don't think I've ever watched a pro for more than 6 consecutive holes.

The Sista's typically play well in Canada....I guess they are happy to leave the Merican racism....and play in front of galleries that will cheer for them.

Can Ariya win next week again and secure a second hat trick in one year? We'll see.
Hopefully, other LPGA players will stand up and be counted.

I assume this is the 1st tee with the last group teeing off in Round Four...a lot of empty seats, but you can't get warm sitting on cold aluminum bleachers. The broadcasters quoted the greenskeeper saying it's possible to get snow on this course in EVERY month. The Hulk can buy that. No doubt about it, Dumbo was made for TV.

Yes, Dumbo is made for TV. I saw some promo like "Tune in and watch Player A go for the win." It should be "tune in and watch Dumbo be Dumbo."

In case you missed the news, Ayako Uehara had two aces over the weekend, which tied the LPGA record for most aces in a tournament. They look like Bridgestone balls. I don't know if she's qualified for the upcoming Asian events, but her T-10 in Calgary was a big boost. From lpga.com regarding the aces record...it was a different game in the '70s & '90s: Ayako Uehara recorded a hole-in-one for the second consecutive round. After acing the par-3, 11th with a 31-degree hybrid from 158 yards yesterday, Uehara jarred her 7-iron from 164 yards on the 8th today.
With the two aces, Ayako tied the record for most holes-in-one in a single tournament. Below are the other record holders.
Most holes-in-one, tournament:
2, Jo Ann Washam, Mesa Verde Country Club, 1979 Women’s Kemper Open, second round, 16th hole, 5-iron, 165 yards; fourth round, 7th hole, 3-iron, 168 yards 2, Jenny Lidback, Weston Hills Country Club, 1997 Chrysler-Plymouth Tournament of Champions, third round, 17th hole, 5-iron, 147 yards; fourth round, 11th hole, 6-iron, 146 yards 2, Laura Diaz, Aviara Golf Culb, 2014 Kia Classic, third round, third hole, 50-degree, 94 yards; fourth round, sixth hole, 6-iron, 157 yards****** I'd have to turn in my man membership card if I played with a 31-degree hybrid (my shortest is a 23-degree). Does Uehara play with women's clubs?!

Well, there's the proof...Arg's Dumbo headcover is probably in a storage shed back in Korea...after all, her Ping G2 driver from her junior high club set needs to be protected. Ah that's too bad. At least it didn't end up in a garbage can at O'Hare as previously reported.

Somebody please tell me the connection between HYP, NYC and J. Song? Does Jenny "from the ROK" fit into this equation anywhere?
