A win from Inbee might actually extend her career. Scooping up that big appearance money. Maybe I said that already. I've been thinking it. I think it will be the opposite. With a gold medal to go with her career slam, I think that would be it for the Queen Bee. That's why I will be rooting hard AGAINST her tomorrow.

I assume this is NK Madsen's caddie boyfriend, who she went schitzo on during her USWO qualifier at Canoe Brook CC in May. However, she picked up her first LET win earlier this year with some girl on her bag. NKM has enrolled in the LPGA's Stage 2 q-school for October in Florida. Ko and Park are the biggest con artists and sociopaths in ladies golf since Mannika. They have absolutely no feelings toward their fellow players. That's why they are champions.

The resident expert is looking better each day on his prediction that Dumbo may only win once this year.... if not at all. If I remember correctly, the resident expert also predicted a USWO win for Bo Mee Lee. But that was a big balls prediction, I'll give you that. You must have the RE mixed up with Phil....he's the BML fanboy and if he did...it was wrought with a ton of sarcasm.

Why are they going split tees and so early??...weather, TV or to allow the pros to get to Calgary ASAP?

Round 3
I think I've waited all year to have this much fun watching a round of golf. Inbee was amazing today. Yeah, she wasn't perfect. She had a few loose shots, missed a couple of makeable putts. But despite the tough conditions and the pressure, she repeatedly rose to the occasion when it looked like things might get away from her.
I'm still trying to figure out what was my favorite shot of the day. Perhaps that immaculate chip she hit from behind the one green, bumping it into the fringe and letting it trundle down to the hole? Or the stiff shot on 10? Or the hole she hit it into the tall weeds yet somehow saved par? She had several beautiful longish putts that dropped on the exact final roll into the cup. Then there was the approach on 16 after she had put herself behind a bunker with the wind whipping all over the place. No sweat: approach to 1 foot for easy birdie.
(by the way, last night Costas talked to Feherty at the end of primetime, and for the first time he mentioned the women, talking about how Inbee was in the lead and name dropping Henderson, Lewis and the Indian teen.)
It's not going to be easy tomorrow. Ko just seemed to have everything going her way on her front nine Friday. But she cooled down on the back nine. I'm hoping she got it out of her system and will come down to Earth tomorrow. Meanwhile, can Inbee manage to excel for one more day? Words cannot express how much I'm hoping she can. GO INBEE!!!! TOP OF THE PODIUM!!!
Meanwhile, In Gee and Amy didn't have great days, but given how tough the conditions were, they still managed to move up in the rankings. If one of them can catch fire, a medal is definitely a possibility, even gold. Perhaps one of them will have that Kuchar round and sneak up on the leaders. They are both overdue, especially In Gee. They are just four shots back of silver, six shots behind gold. GO IN GEE! GO HEE YOUNG! HWAITING!!!
In Gee
Amy
Sei Young is probably not going to win a medal, but she has literally nothing to lose at this point. If she plays aggressively, who knows what she might be able to shoot. GO SEI YOUNG!
KOREA HWAITING!

Why are they going split tees and so early??...weather, TV or to allow the pros to get to Calgary ASAP? From the NBC Olympics website: RIO DE JANEIRO – To avoid poor weather, including winds up to 30 mph, final-round tee times for the Olympics were moved up. Groups will now go off split tees in threesomes beginning at 6 a.m. ET, with the expectation that the rounds should be completed by 1 p.m. ET. Golf Channel and NBCOlympics.com coverage will begin at 6 a.m. ET.
Here are final-round groupings at Olympic Golf Course (all times ET):
10th TEE 6:00AM: Mariajo Uribe, Lexi Thompson, Aditi Ashok 6:11AM: Pernilla Lindberg, Laetitia Beck, Alena Sharp 6:22AM: Julieta Granada, Nicole Broch Larsen, Christine Wolf 6:33AM: Carlota Ciganda, Maria Verchenova, Karine Icher 6:44AM: Gwladys Nocera Pucet, Shiho Oyama, Tiffany Chan 6:55AM: Xiyu Lin, Klara Spilkova, Noora Tamminen 7:06AM: Ashleigh Simon, Ursula Wikstrom, Kelly Tan 7:17AM: Michelle Koh, Fabienne In-Albon, Chloe Leurquin 7:28AM: Miriam Nagl, Giulia Sergas, Giulia Molinaro 7:39AM: Victoria Lovelady, Maha Haddioui
FIRST TEE 6:05AM: Alejandra Llaneza, Gaby Lopez, Catriona Matthew 6:16AM: Caroline Masson, Sandra Gal, Stephanie Meadow 6:27AM: Pornanong Phatlum, Sei Young Kim, Leona Maguire 6:38AM: Marianne Skarpnord, Albane Valenzuela, Candie Kung 6:49AM: Azahara Munoz, Harukyo Nomura, Teresa Lu 7:00AM: Brooke Henderson, Stacy Lewis, Nanna Koersta Madsen 7:11AM: Suzann Pettersen, Anna Nordqvist, Minjee Lee 7:22AM: Charley Hull Su Oh, Paula Reto 7:33AM: Shanshan Feng, Hee Young yang, In Gee Chun 7:44AM: Inbee Park, Lydia Ko, Gerina Piller******** I assume TV scheduling is the main reason, but since when is 30 MPH wind classified as "poor weather" for elite golfers? Are these greens too slick for high winds? I thought rain and lightning was poor weather.

Annika got better every day. Apologies to her. Wish I could say the same for IGC and SYK.

Annika got better every day. Apologies to her. Wish I could say the same for IGC. By now, the halo effect from winning a USWO crown is completely gone. Sadly, In Gee is back to square one as a LPGA nobody. Will she restart from the scratch, only time will tell!

Congrats to Inbee, she has passed Webb as the 2nd best player in the modern era.
At ANA, I expect 15 people will be following Inbee in 2017, up from 12 in previous years.

It looked like Stacy wanted to congratulate Inbee with a hug or handshake off the 18th green, but Inbee gave a quick nod and pretty much blew her off.

How big was that flubbed backhand tap-in attempt by Nomura? She could've been in a playoff with Shanshan for Bronze.

I didn't think Inbee had an Inbee-like performance in her this year. Am I grateful to be wrong.
Lydia's birdie on 18 to capture the silver whirled around most of the cup.
I wonder how the Chinese government will treat golf now that Shanshan has earned a medal for them?
