Tony Considering this is part 2. IMO....the disappointments include Dumbo playing like crap the last few months....and since the Founders....another disappoint is no REAL Koreans have won (I don't consider Jenny Shin a REAL Korean...too much drama)....and Lang caught lightening in a bottle for the only Merican win. I don't consider Yani or Wiezy disappointments......do people realistically expect change for the better? ...Yani's been in a 4 year slump and Wie had a short term streak in 2014....otherwise continuing lousy results for both...week end week out. Yup....Ariya and Nomura have been nice surprises. Apart from Phil.....does anyone really care about MHL? ....nope.....sorry Phil but it's true....so is there disappointment when she's off the radar??

Huge promise at the start of the year. It is all gone.
Se Ri's career couldn't have ended up any worse. Thank God I don't have to read the same article over and over again about how she changed golf.
Ms. 2 iron is so much better than the rest of the players it is flat out embarrassing. Wake me up in five years.

Injuries made Se Ri and Grace TOAST too early....it really seems as if Se Ri kinda hated a life that pushed onto her. While 2 child oldie, Inkster, continues to be a 'playa' at 56....I have hope. I'm watching my recording....Ms 2 iron smokes one 230 yds.....smokes a 8 iron approach 165 yds while Mo Martin uses a 9 wood approach....lol.....Ariya's lag putting is good.

When New Zealand, Canada and Thailand escape from The ROK and leave seoulsisters holding the bag it's a sad day.
Maybe I'll zig when they are zagging and go full KLPGA except when Dumbo is on TV, aka never.

I remember watching Grace at El Caballero. It was the year Annika beat Se Ri. I was talking to a couple of black guys. They were golfers but did not know the LPGA. Grace walked by on the way to the 16th tee. They looked at me and at one another and each said God Damn! Good times.

A more accurate stat. They didn't let their favorites influence their rankings.

Watched Grace Park practice a few times when she was at Arizona State U. Early on you could tell she would be a great golfer. She seemed to be very pleasant to people around her as well.

At ASU Karsten? Grace's sex appeal is right off the charts. Grace has always been a doll.....while waiting for the tee in a practice rd at the 2003 BMO CWO...she sat in my cart (I was a vol) and we chatted for a while...I think about Prada....and took a pic. I think Dave Brooker was on her bag and I think a guy named Tom was on Lorena's bag...he used to loop for Nancy Lopez.

Yes Grace Park use to play at ASU Karsten Golf Course. It's a link style golf course with pot bunkers, blind shots and uneven lies. However their distance setup is strange. Playing from the Professional tees at 7,000 yards is very tough. Because you have to shape the ball on every hole and avoid the bunkers. But the so call Championship tees plays 6,272 yards which makes it play pretty easy for good golfers.
Anyway ASU Golf team are going to move to Papago Golf course.

Anyway ASU Golf team are going to move to Papago Golf course. I've been to Phoenix only once in 1997 and wanted to play Papago but didn't make it. Does Papago have a grass range. Why is ASU leaving Karsten? When did they stretch Papago to 7333 yds? Only $11 for a resident to walk during the week after 11am? So would I die walking in the afternoon?.....does anyone walk in the afternoon or is the course dead? Do people go out in the afternoon in the summer....I'm not talking about golf activities. Is it miserable in the summer? I hate our rainy winters....I hate the rain.

Papago hosted the Tour's Phoenix stop in 2009, which I attended and was won by Karrie Webb. As it is a muni (a "goat track" in mr3putt's parlance) it didn't have adequate clubhouse space so the Tour brought in portable facilities for that purpose. This "tent city" vibe and the fact that there was no assurance that Phoenix, a popular stop on Tour, would remain on the schedule after that year (it was absent in 2010) only added to the cacophony of reasons for Carolyn Bivens' ultimate dismissal from the Commissioner's post that summer.
As for walking around outside in the dry desert heat I did have a brief holiday in Las Vegas a few years back during August. If you're prepared it is doable but it does wear on you after a while but I was riding public transit around the city with some walking as well; I couldn't imagine what it would feel like to play golf in such dry heat. I've of course attended tournaments in hot and humid conditions but my times watching golf in the desert were during the spring so I have no basis of comparison.

I played golf once in Phoenix (I was there with my wife, who was attending a conference). The guy at the hotel suggested I make a 7 AM tee time, which I thought was crazy, but I was glad later, because by 10 AM it was 100 degrees+ and unbearable.
The only place I ever played where I had an air conditioned golf cart. And I couldn't wait to get back into it after each shot.
