Choi's father in the round of 16 against Seong fired the caddie and picked up the bag after 9 holes. Marcus Washington, the caddie, said it was the 3 time in the week he walked up and took the bag from him. Choi was 4 down at the time. I met Choi's mother and their American/Korean guide Monday at the U.S. Open. First thing they told me was that Pops was upset because the caddie hadn't shown up. He was going to have the carry the bag for the practice round! He was her caddie during the tournament. It all got sorted though.

Believe it or not Fourway, there are a lot of overbearing parents in the U.S. Anyway how do you know how overbearing the parents are in Korea. There probably are a lot, just wondering how you know so much about them. I have seen first hand how parents act here in all sports, so have you seen Korean parents in person. Or it is just hearsay.

1) How do you know this?....from today's telecast? Choi's dad seems to be a clown if this occurred.....if he doesn't want a stranger to loop...then pick up the bag and loop yourself. I see plenty of these clown dads at the driving ranges here. 2) I have Ping, Cally, TMaG, Titleist and Nike shirts and hats....but they don't sponsor me when I struggle to break 80. They showed old man Choi right after he put the bag on. He took a bottle of liquid out of the bag and dumped it out, then gave the umbrella to his wife(?) to make it lighter. Then they showed Mr. Marcus Washington, the caddie, following the group drinking a water. hahaha. Talk of Choi brings back memories of the her at the U. S. Open. Seemed I ran into the mum and guide everyday and would ask them how Hye-Jin was doing. She went on of course to finished low amateur and beat the great Hannah O. These semi's are fun to watch. There's so much Olympics on and NBC has gone to so much trouble to televise it maybe I should watch that instead. The women are playing this game that's a cross between soccer and basketball.

Choi's dad needs to get into contact with Tina...she had local competent golfer club members vol and carry the Wonder Kid's bag for free at the 2012 & 2013 CN CWO's and Domingo at the 2012 Jr. Girls and 2014 Swing Skirt at Lake Merced. The Dragon Lady even insulted Brain Alexander when she 1st met him saying she wasn't sure he could handle the bag....duh....the guy is a member of Vancouver Golf Club and past BC Sr, Am Champ and still is gaming a +1 cap.....gotta love Tina...she can be rude and still get what she wants....no wonder Lydia is world women's #1...though FAKE according to Happy. These Koreans need to contact Smiling Buddha Enterprises for assistance to help them navigate when in this part of the world.

I guess the overbearing Korean parents footage never made it past the cutting room floor. Lots of Dbag parents in this video. Look at the ahole starting at 28:00....the girl lag putts it to 8 inches from off the green and dad is whining....fing clown. No way would I allow my child to be paired with this kid and be subject to hearing and witnessing this tool of a dad. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xh6mcAbYWiE

Do you mean handball? I was fascinated by that sport at the last Olympics. The Korean women are actually pretty good. Believe it or not, there is a Korean handball movie about how their team took a run at the Gold in 2004 (I won't spoil what happened). That may be the only handball movie in the entire world! (and it's a good movie, too!).

Pretty much the final everybody was expecting and hoping for, pitting the two strongest golfers this week against one another with history on the line. Can Eun Jeong Seong become the first girl to ever win the Women's and Girls' amateur in the same year? I sure hope so!
Go Eun Jeong Seong!!!! HWAITING!

Handball is great. Too bad all the Yanks show is Kerri Walsh, gymnasts and swimming.
We might need an archery thread to hedge our bets for a RoK gold medal.

This is a coin flip....50/50 odds. I predict the winner wins at 2 to 1...the girls are flying through rd 1.

If they had to putt out every single putt, it'd be closer to 3:45. If they weren't allowed range finders , it'd be closer to 4:00. That's still too long for a twosome.

Korea finally has a player that might stare down Ko and Jutanugarn. It's a shame they'll both be retired by the time Wizard Whan lets Junior on tour.
