Undoubtedly...NYC has a huge amount of fanboys/fangirls...and I keep on saying it...her disposition both inside and outside the ropes is so bland.
We have Dumbo, SYR, The LOVELY HYP, Bada*s and Ha Na and others too.....I just don't get the fandom for NYC...same with IK Kim.

Didn't Dumbo receive some new Edel wedges a couple of months ago too....maybe she wants new bounces. Have you guys noticed the Matrix Ozik white shafts....yet she plays steel Nippons in her Ping irons. Is there another tour pro male or female who plays graphite in wedges and steel in irons.....if anything it might be the reverse. |

You don't hear Lisa's southern drawl on TV...but it's pronounced in real life.

Ugh, a 75 for NYC...she's a LOSER.   Pic from Thursday pro-am below. Did you see her lpga.com interview earlier this week? She is so open and blunt about her recent golf struggles, but her charisma still shines through...just one reason why she has an army of fanboys around the world...and I'm one of them.   The thing I noticed is her English has improved considerably. She was already one of the better English speaker among Koreans, but now she is now closing in on SYR territory. Maybe she has plenty of practice with her "American tour friend"... She also said in her previous interview that she is much more comfortable living in the States than in Korea. I don't know how is the acceptance of "alternative lifestyle" over in Korea. But given her enormous popularity over Asia, in no small part for her good look, I can imagine why she wants to get away and just "be herself". |

Great opening round by So Yeon Ryu! She's played well at this event before, and she seems to be on a roll right now. Good luck tomorrow!
Nice start for Eun Hee Ji, Chella and Sun Young Yoo as well.
In Gee was a bit more up and down, but -3 is not a bad start. But she has to turn on the jets tomorrow, because if the leaders get much more ahead of her than they are now, especially in a three rounder, it will be all over.
Weird that NYC had such a crummy round here; she seemed really comfortable returning to the site of her most recent win. But Minjee and Su Oh representing well for Australia.
