I loved Christina Grimmie's voice from the first time I heard her sing on YouTube, which was this song from Les Miserables, "I Dreamed A Dream"...for some wacko to shoot and kill this rising 22-year old dreamer, I have no words to describe my feelings...peace on your journey, Christina Grimmie...keep dreaming. #RIPGrimmie

One more thing. This is why I often worry about WTA and LPGA players. Completely, true story...I had a dream that a WTA player had been killed last night. I won't say who because I don't want to put it in the universe. All I will say is first letter in the first name is the same as Christina Grimmie. Then I woke up and as I often do, started reading news on Flipboard.
LPGA players are so welcoming to fans and the events are often held on courses that have no protection from the outside public. I remember watching one event...can't remember the season or which event it was...but right next to the course there was a busy street with cars going up and down. It's not enough to say, oh our crowd at LPGA events wouldn't do something like this. From what I have read, that was the attitude at this venue, that these kind of singers like Christina Grimmie and the group for which she was opening don't attract "that kind of crowd." There were no metal detectors. Also, fans who have been interviewed say the guards were very random in bag checks, often passing people through saying it's ok. It's not ok. You can't assume one type of person is dangerous and another is not. If you are charged to protect public figures, everybody is potentially dangerous.

You're the real deal if you can sing I Dreamed a Dream.

Let's face it...if any one wants to kill someone...they'll figure a way to do it. As a Canuck...it's pretty sad how many Yanks own guns and how many are 'packing'.
At Chambers Bay...they had metal detectors...there were so many spray can sunscreens that were left behind and thrown away. I've yet to attend an LPGA with metal detectors. Gulbis and Kang have had there hotel rms broken into.....Paige and others have stalkers....it's they way of the world unfortunately.
Isn't there a murder in Chicago every other day...yet no one makes a fuss unless they are a celebrity.
RIP to Christina.
