Sorry....but that's a lame trophy. I think they can stop soaking Ariya with water now....ok....if it's her 1st major. I LIKE the trophy! Looks like a Frank Lloyd Wright window, and will be nice in between all the vases she'll win.

You whitey's could learn from the FAKE Chinese how to hand out a REAL trophy....supposedly the jade trophies were worth approx $200,000 each.

Hmmmm...is Happyfan alive? He posted last night in others threads but not this one....maybe he's pouting like Stacy because the Koreans are getting bulldozed by the Thai Bomber.

Round 4 I was on vacation enjoying the nice weather, so I watched almost none of this tournament (about an hour on Thursday and that's it). Good thing I didn't miss anything. Yeesh! The Sisters are really in a trough right now, just in time for all the important tournaments. Congrats to Ariya, she really seems to be on a run right now. Even when things seems to be going south for her, she always has an eagle chance if there's a closing par 5. Ths Sisters do not seem to be rising to the occasion on Sunday, full stop. So Yeon's game is looking incredible. Why isn't she putting herself into the hunt? Or taking advantage when she's there? Another over par Sunday isn't going to cut it. How many times is she going to be in contention before she learns how to handle the pressure? Amy Yang seems to have the same problem, although she was not in contention this week. How bad was it for Amy? Not only did she produce a rotten final round again, she actually dropped behind Ha Na Jang and off the Olympic team! And Jang isn't even playing. Another decent but unremarkable t-11th for In Gee. I'm looking forward to her regrouping after this slight fallow period and getting back into the hunt. I don't know what to say about Hyo Joo. I really expect better from a talent like her than what she's been able to produce. Those who say it's easy to adapt from playing in Korea to an international schedule should take a close look at the struggle this lady has had; she was literally unstoppable before she came over here. Onward. Hoping we see a big Korean surge timed perfectly to coincide with the Major run coming up. Hwaiting!

Speaking of Hyo Joo, she had a spot on the GC telecast at the beginning of 4th round. The usual drill for the leaders to give a brief introduction of themselves. And she did it entirely in Korean. That just left me scratching my head. I mean how hard is it to say "My name is Hyo Joo Kim, and I am from South Korea"...

Here is a legitimate star player, just need to say two sentences in English, to an English speaking audience. Just wouldn't bother. Meanwhile I was sitting in front of the TV feeling like an idiot. Maybe the successor of Bivens, Mr Whan can change the slogan to "See how we don't give a f out here" (Edit: This is specifically referring to Hyo Joo and Hyo Joo only.)

Volvik is a Korean company, right? Perhaps she was simply playing to the sponsor.

Hyo Joo seems to have had more trouble learning English than most of the Sisters. But cut her a break! Learning English is hard if your starter language is Korean.
My guess is they grabbed her off the range, shoved a camera in her face, and asked her to say a few words. She didn't have time to compose her thoughts in English, so just said something in Korean. I doubt this was a heavily thought out effort.
When Hyo Joo wins again, she will probably speak at least part of her victory speech in English I'm sure.

I like HJK. She seems kinda goofy. It is a shame Christie Kerr isn't from Korea, we could have been spared all her nonsense over the years.
If Whan is concerned about the girls speaking English, why not just have actors dub over the Korean language? The guys from Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns are probably available.

No one seems to care when El Pato Cabrera or Hideki can't speak a word of English in their interviews. Make Merica Great Again!! FWIW....Fourwaymiss is not a white boy...he's a fellow countryman of the Smiling Buddha.
