I watched the end of the par-5 18th hole in the Jang vs. Park match. Unfortunately, when Soo Jin left her third shot short of the green, I knew it was over. Sharon hasn't gotten this far in the match play since 2011...but now against Park... So Young Lee was an am I watched on the range at Lancaster CC last year (77-71 MC)...she'd hit an iron and then wipe the clubface with a tiny brush on an elastic band hanging off her belt on the right thigh. Her club cleaning was delicate and brief; in my case, sometimes I have to gouge the mud out of the grooves with the point of a tee.

Will a couple more KLPGA victories along with a US Open win get SHP close to Olympic qualifying? I'm assuming Inbee and HNJ will withdraw.

It would be unfair if Sung Hyun jumps any LPGA player, that earned their ranking on the LPGA. Besides I don't think that she is a top golfer yet. Rather right wrong, that's my opinion.

Shin Ae Ahn is hanging in there...lost the first hole, then halved the next nine holes. Her match was the last one to start in the AM, so it's remotely possible that we'll see the end of it when the SBS Golf broadcast starts...and now I see that Park won the 1lth hole...#@^&*%

Shin Ae Ahn has a chance, if the battery pack that powers the Terminator's elaborate circuitry fails.

Well since Jin Young Ko and Shin A are out. The only fav left for me is Seon Woo Bae, the Elf Girl. Jin Young could never get closer after going two down. While I was watching, and nor could Sharon.

The quarterfinals went this way:
Seon Woo Bae def. So Yi Kim 2 & 1
Ji Hyun Kim beat Ji Young Kim 2 4 & 3
Su Yeon Jang crushed Seung Hyun Lee 5 & 4
Sung Hyun Park beat So Young Lee 2 & 1. This was the best match. Park took a 2 up lead at the turn, Lee got back to square, but Park managed to win two late holes to put it away.
So the final four matches will be:
Sung Hyun Park vs. Seon Woo Bae Ji Hyun Kim vs. Su Yeon Jang

Here's a surprise: Ji Hyun Kim manhandled Su Yeon Jang 7 & 6 in the first semi, while Sung Hyun Park beat Seon Woo Bae 3 & 2 in the other.
So the finals are Sung Hyun Park vs. Ji Hyun Kim. Sounds like a fairly routine win for Park, but... nothing is routine in match play. Stay tuned!

Su Yeon Jang won the consolation match against Seon Woo Bae 2 & 1.
In the finals, Park was 2 down with 2 to play, but won the final two holes to force a playoff. And that's where we are now. Crazy! Ji Hyun Kim lost the 18th hole with a bogey on a par 5 (Park made par).

Congrats to Sung Hyun Park, who won the match on the first playoff hole. Sympathy to Ji Hyun Kim, who was 2 up and lost the final three holes she played. She was going for her first career win against the top player on tour, that was never going to be easy, but she played magnificently most of the day. But all kudos to Park for winning one of the toughest trophies on the KLPGA tour. That's her fourth win of the year already and it isn't even June yet. Holy crap, we could be in for an all time great season from Park if she keep this up.

Was Kim in a huge divot on her 3rd shot on 18?...she really laid the sod over .....then a stubby the monkey into the bunker and then hit a lousy blast. Then SHP sent her 10 foot birdie putt 3 feet by the hole...WTF was she thinking.....she nearly blew it.
I thought SHP was missing her 12 ft birdie on the 1st playoff hole to the right but with a foot left....it came back to the left for a great putt and win.
SHP is too much of a robot inside the ropes....she won't be a fan fav with the Yanks when she comes over to the LPGA....she's no Dumbo, SYR, Badass, HYP, SKY or pre Luggagegate Hulk.
Was there a special/promo?...buy a ticket and receive a free Doosan umbrella....I've never seen so many umbrellas...not even on a rainy winter day here in Van City.
Throwing rose petals on the winner is lame...they need to think of something else.
This course looked boring....not enough stressful holes for added excitement.

I hope SHP shows there is a different formula--you can stay in Korea, make lots of money and still be competitive in the Caucasian majors. There is no need to join the LPGA. Look at poor IGC. She shoots a 62 and in the end, all it proved is that she is one stroke better than Mo Martin over a 72 hole tournament.
