Starts Thursday...SBS Golf has the usual five hours per day, starting at Noon local time. Looks like the top-32 seeds picked their opponents at random. Min Sun Kim5 selected Bo Bae Kim and Hye Youn Kim selected A Lim Kim S.H. Park chose the Mini-Rocket and Sharon (who lost her first matches in 2012 thru 2014) gets Yeon Ju Jeong Pearly Gates civil war: Soo Jin picked Ji Hee Kim...as a #3 seed, Jung Min Lee gets a tough first match against Ran Hong

It goes without saying that defending champion In Gee Chun will not be in the field to defend her title.... Guess she needs to write the KLPGA another big check...

It goes without saying that defending champion In Gee Chun will not be in the field to defend her title.... Guess she needs to write the KLPGA another big check... One thing impressive about In Gee and her management team is that they've a clear vision that In Gee's future is LPGA; and nothing should distract her from that. The strategy is simple; win LPGA tournaments, especially majors. Winning 2015 USWO makes it crystally clear where money is. Her $810,000.00 winning is almost as much as her full year winning of 910 million won from KLPGA.

They are showing last year's now. Almost every fan in attendance is holding an umbrella.
It's actually a pretty dang good match. Very tense. Twice I've seen In Gee shoot prolonged devastating glares at crowd members that have been moving their umbrella or talking when she's about to hit.

Can anyone identify this player? Unfortunately, Google translate simply butchers her name.

I like this match play event...too bad The Mini Rocket went down. Sadly I can only recognize a handful...otherwise all the pros look the same....Korea robots. The Smiling Buddha is a disgrace...he's Asian and can't differentiate other Asians...and we all thought it was a white boy term....'you Asians all look the same to me".

HUGE UPSET. Jung Min Lee, former champion at this event, incinerated by Ran Hong 6 & 5You misread the results...Ji Hyun Oh defeated JJ Hong in 19 holes. Oh is A/S against Sharon thru four holes on Friday. Jung Min Lee probably wished they did away with the plastic Easter eggs and set the matches the way it was done by the LPGA (#1 vs. #64, #2 vs. #63, etc.). As #3, Lee would have gotten someone easier than an old war horse like Ran Hong.

Yeah, misread that one, cause the column for the back nine showed Hong beating Oh and I saw that as Hong beating Oh for the whole match. Not that it matters much, as Oh fell to Sharon in round 2 4 & 3. Some other early results: Su Yeon Jang and Song Yi Ahn in a playoff So Young Lee destroyed Shi Hyun Ahn 5 & 4. Watch out for the rookie! Soo Jin Yang and Sung Hyun Park duking it out in the final match. They are all square through 8.

Tomorrow will feature the round of 16 and quarterfinals. Here is how the brackets set up:
Sung Hyun Park vs. Shin Ae Ahn meets the winner of Hae Rym Kim vs. Rookie star So Young Lee
The above is the killer bracket! Three proven winners and possibly the best rookie this year who has been killing her opponents.
Jin Young Ko vs. So Yi Kim meets the winner of Seon Woo Bae vs. Gyeol Park
Jin Young Ko should be favored, but Bae and Gyeol Park both have potential.
Ka Ram Choi vs. Su Yeon Jang meets the winner of Seung Hyun Lee vs. Ji Young Park
Su Yeon Jang has had trouble so far this week, but it looks like it's getting easier for her.
Rookie Ji Young Kim 2 vs. Seul Ki Jung meets the winner of Rookie Hyo Rin Lee vs. Ji Hyun Kim
The weakest bracket by far. Ji Hyun Kim is the top ranked player here. Hyo Rin Lee has had a strong rookie season so far.
