Watching Spieth gag it at the Masters got me thinking.
I can't recall ever watching a Sista collapse especially in a major ( I consider Inky missed putt a brain fart vs. a collapse)....has there been any Sista's who have gagged it coming home in a: 1) Fake major 2) Regular LPGA tour event.

Inky.
Sadly it could be the biggest gaffe in all tournament history of golf.

Inky. Sadly it could be the biggest gaffe in all tournament history of golf. We know this gaffe...can you think of another major Sista choke?....I think Bada*s fell off at the ANA in 2015....but I don't think it was a major gag up. I'm talking about van de Valde, Palmer at the 1966 USWO and Shark like melt downs. Hoch and Sanders yips were pretty bad too.

I can't think of a Korean collapse. Patty Sheehan in Atlanta in 1990 is the worst I can remember in the women's game but that was more gradual and as much physical as mental.
I.K. Kim's miss was tough to see but I don't think it compares with Doug Sanders or Scott Hoch. Afterall, those were real majors.

Inky. Sadly it could be the biggest gaffe in all tournament history of golf. That's the worst statement ever, in the history of statements. The ball just missed the middle of the hole. It just happen to be the last hole.

Aside from Inky, nothing comes to mind. This looked impossible to research...and then the name Michelle Wie popped into my mind. I figured among all her calamities and brain farts, I could find at least one collapse...and I did, the 2005 USWO. After three rounds, she was tied for first with Pressel at +1...then shot an 82 (+11) on Sunday. I can cut her some slack as she was only age 15 at the time.
UPDATE:
You said "pro" in the title...my mistake, MW was still an amateur at the time...although BJ had her playing all over like she was a pro.

Yes....I knew Sheehan gagged one up and couldn't remember the specifics and kinda forget about it as I never cared much for Sheehan. Sweetness came when Lauri Merten won at Crooked Stick in 1993 USWO....she was nice....I remember her wearing a evening gown in a GD magazine.....holy moly....too bad we didn't have social media back then. Her nickname was "Trash Queen" for her ability to get out of the junk......let's see if Phil has any achieves on Merten....I'm guessing he does. Too bad she was tied to some stuff of her BIL, Campano's murder investigation. Her hubby had an affair with a gal...WTF...you are married to sweetness and a pro golfer and ya go elsewhere???.....huh. Trevino was going to tell Sanders to back off but didn't....Scott Hoch is kinda goofy. I started this thread cause I can't recall a Sista having a colossal spew down coming home...yes some have lost ......but nothing of a complete melt down comes to mind. I thought it might have started with NYC on the 10th at Blackwolf in 2012...but she recovered and obviously won. It was a shame not to see NYC fight for a better drop position...her caddy was doing all the whining and because she never said anything...the RO didn't rule in her favor. If it was Mannika....she would have got a drop near the green....lol. Remember Mannika's whining at the 2003 USWO at the Witch course at Pumpkin Ridge for a drop on the 72nd hole....then noboby, Lunke, won....Mannika would have destroyed Robbins, Stanford & Lunke in the playoff. Remember when the Pink Diva was so livid when the RO...I think it was Janet Lindsey, cowered to give Annika a favorable ruling on the 18th at the 2005 ADT at The Donald's place. I'm surprised Colin Cann didn't stick it to Mannika neither...she canned Colin in a fake major.

MW doesn't count cause she's a fake Korean...I'm talking about a real Korean. Mannika also gagged at the 2005 USWO...she was going to continue the slam. But I think the real gag was Lorena......didn't she snap hook her drive into the water on the 72nd hole? The USWO was well attended and had the attendance record until Lancaster. Denver likes the LPGA......Sean needs to get some sales calls going in Seoul to get someone to sponsor an event there....Merican money doesn't like the LPGA.

Anything less than a 5 shots lead with 18 to play shouldn't be considered as a choke. Sei Young had a 2/3 shots lead going into the final round? Inky's putt was shorter than Hoch and Sanders's . It was a straight forward tap-in. Ok, Van de Valde's maybe equal to Inky.

But ya....if it was a major choke we'd all remember....Spieth's gag was kinda like Rory's gag after his snap hook on the 10th at ANG in 2011. Yes, Inky's putt was shorter and easier than Sanders's and Hoch's....too me it was a brain fart...ya....Hoch's putt was a down hill slider and so was Sanders...but maybe not quite sever and the greens at the Open Championship back in those days were quite as slick in comparison to today's greens. If not for Inky's miss....I don't think Bubba the Clown would have marked his final putt at the 2012 Masters. van de Velde's was more stupidity and then some bad execution and bad luck too.

Does this count? At the 2010 Sybase Match Play, Jimin Kang upchucked during her first round match against Morgan Pressel. A condensed rendition from the archives:
Then I walked towards the 16th tee box and linked up with Pressel and Kang again. Morgan was two-down and hitting first (which means she must have been three-down earlier).
The 16th is a downhill par-3 of 155 yards with the pin in the very front right. Morgan dropped her shot within kick-in range. Jimin landed hers pin-high to the left, but the green steered the ball 90 degrees to the right, so both players made birdies and Jimin was dormie.
The 17th is a short par-4 of 324 yards. Morgan hit to within 4-5 feet, while Jimin overshot the flag. Jimin just missed making a long L-to-R breaker coming back, but Morgan made her birdie to cut her deficit to one hole.
The 18th is the cool par-5 of 515 yards. Jimin’s drive caught a down slope on the right side of the fairway, so she was much further ahead (at least 30 yds.) of Morgan than normal. But, it didn’t matter as both players would have to lay up to what looks like a huge grass island. Per her comments later, Morgan left herself in a great spot at 66 yards to a platform green. I’m guessing Jimin’s second shot left her no more than 50 yards away. Morgan’s third landed past the flag, but it spun back to makeable birdie range. Jimin’s third took off weakly and was lucky to reach the front edge of the green; it was good enough for a two-putt, but Morgan made a four to tie the match.
There was a delay at #1, as Na Yeon Choi (pronounced “Na Yoon Choi” by the starter) and Karine Icher had just teed off. During the wait, Morgan ate an apple and touched up her lip gloss, while Jimin went for a granola bar.
As for Morgan and Jimin, both made par (Morgan’s putt rattled in), so it was on to #2, a par-5 of 507 yards. Again, Morgan pulled the string on her third shot, leaving her 7-8 feet for birdie. Jimin had less yardage, but her shot cleared the flag on a lower trajectory. It stopped quickly, but who cares if you’re 20 feet from the hole? Jimin missed her birdie, Morgan made hers, and it was over.

Nada on Lauri Merten...I didn't start attending LPGA events until 2005. Per the LPGA, her last tournaments were in 1997. I remember her winning the '93 USWO. I distinctly recall Jeong Jang briefly leading the USWO (2003, I think), then did a Jordan on a par-3 (scored an eight) and wasn't heard from again.

Lauri Merten is not a snitch. I've always liked her.

Here are some of the most disappointing finishes I can remember for Koreans in Majors. In all these cases, it looked like the Sister in question was in great position to win yet somehow did not.
People always remember Inky's miss, but Hee Kyung Seo had a three shot lead with a few holes to play at that same Nabisco, and finished with four straight bogies. It was her best chance to win a Major in her career, unless you count the 2011 US Women's Open, where she missed a short par save on 17 and later lost in a playoff to So Yeon Ryu.
NYC seemed to have the 2013 British Open at St. Andrews in hand until she made a few bad mistakes coming in and handed the trophy to Lewis (who, admittedly, made a few unlikely birdies herself, but still shouldn't have been in position to win).
Crueler sorts might include Amy Yang's finish to last year's US Women's Open in the list. She had a three shot lead for much of the final two days, but lost it with a few holes to go to In Gee Chun, then rallied, had only to make par to force a playoff, and messed that up. But in that case, I feel like Chun did a lot to put the pressure on and win it.
Inbee won the 2015 British brilliantly, but she probably should have won the 2014 one as well. She played horribly on the final day, and that coupled with Martin's unlikely eagle was all it took.
Still can't believe Se Ri lost the Nabisco to Pressel in 2007. Pak had an early 4th round lead, watched as Pettersen made a run to take a several stroke lead, started to seriously leak oil at the turn, pressed to try to capture Pettersen, then chased her down the drain as they both threw away the lead and handed the win to Pressel, who had finished like an hour earlier and had seemed completely out of it at the time.

WTF....how could you forget about the LOVELY HYP...she was also contending for the fake Claret Jug....I think she had trouble in the Road Bunker or another bunker.....I remember Kylie giving her advise. Blah...The Rocket was playing with Ms Pouty Face....I remember Lewis sealed the deal with a nice birdie at 17...ugh. Yes. the above are losses...but IMO....not colossal chokes cause many don't recall.
