Yup, So Yeon can get on the Olympic team, but she needs to get the job done on Sunday. With Ha Na struggling and Amy having her own issues with closing, the door is open for So Yeon. But she has to do it when it counts. I hope she can make it.
Another interesting thing about the International Crown team, assuming Inbee drops out and Ha Na joins, would be that you would have the three longest Korean bombers on the squad (Sei Young, Amy and Ha Na), and In Gee isn't short, either. Contrast that with last time, when there were no true bombers on the team.

It was funny seeing those GC 'Feherty' promos with Rory M. saying he was pumped about the Olympics...it seems that talking with Feherty temporarily distorts your thinking apparatus...now that Rory's mind is clearing up... golfweek.com/2016/06/22/pga-tour-rory-mcilroy-joins-list-players-opt-out-olympics/golfweek.com/2016/06/22/pga-tour-health-risks-trump-all-even-winning-olympic-gold/The second article has this gem from Bam Bam: Brittany Lincicome, recently married, told Golfweek’s Beth Ann Nichols, “Everyone is making it sound like it’s OK, but for some reason it’s really worrying me. I feel like I’ve dreamt my whole life of becoming a mom and having a baby. To not be able to do that just because of one golf tournament would be crushing.”I still remember that synopsis I read on Zika at cnn.com a few months ago...my gosh, it's worse than any pestilence you could find in the Old Testament. I don't believe any whitewash malarkey coming out of Brazil govt. or the IOC. When are these women golfers, en masse, going to start waking up before it's too late?

Although she can catch lightning in a bottle...I don't think Bam needs to worry about be an American Olympian. But she's right...why risk the low probability of winning a gold medal (who cares about silver or bronze) that will sit in a safety deposit box 99% of the time to go through a lifetime of raising a handicapped child.
Let's face it...the big guns in women's golf are so young...they'll still be young in 2020 in Japan....and they need not be worried about being kidnapped, shot, murdered, raped or robbed like in Rio.

If all the women decided not to go at once they'll still get the publicity the LPGA and broadcast partners are after.

It's even better, if she wins both.

Thanks, Kevin.
Bo Mee, you have no choices; win USWO or bust!

I was impressed with Lee Anne Pace's game while paired with Dumbo at ANA. I would have never guessed she was a scaredy-cat.

OK...thx.
They should just host the Olympics golf at Sky 72 in Incheon...they could play it concurrently....I think there are 4 courses and use all 4 courses too for the 72 hole event. Heck....more Koreans would show up to watch the gals vs. the men.
And all the entitled whiny guys can park their private jets 5 minutes away....Incheon airport is close by. Why does the Smiling Buddha come up with all the great ideas.
Koreans are efficient...one month notice is more than enough time to stage all the infrastructure....nuff said.
Oh ya....a Korean I played with a few times...gave me a tee from Sky 72....he came here for a month just to play golf and see his Korean GF....which I believe they broke up just before he left to go back home.

A kid that grew up next door, was the first casualty from my hometown lost in the Vietnam War. He was shot and killed when he was 19. If he'd told Lyndon Johnson he was worried about getting malaria he would still be alive.

There is precedent for what you're suggesting, improbable as it sounds: when Melbourne hosted the 1956 Olympics, Australia's strict animal quarantine laws and the country's remoteness at the dawn of the jet age obliged the organizers to hold the equestrian events in Stockholm, Sweden.
