So far, so good ... the odds are still with the "right" player winning this week, so that MHL can play next week ... Boonchant, Chisato Iwai and Shibuno Fever appear to the be the three highest spoilers. Any specifics on why Cheyenne Knight dropped out? She's still in the HSBC field.
As for MHL, going from 16 greens to 9 greens didn't help the cause. But, she hit 11 fairways each day ... I wonder if she gave Sir Nick her death stare?

Round 2 For about half the round, it was a party for the Sisters. Hyo Joo, Sei Young and Jin Young were at or near the top, and Mi Hyang, Jenny, A Lim and Hye Jin bubbled close by. But as the round ended, many of them slipped and things became less positive. Sei Young went on a tear mid-round, going eagle-birdie-birdie to take a two-shot lead at 12 under. But after that she played more like she has lately, making a lot of silly mistakes and even missing a short par save. It looked to me like she was trying too hard rather than let things flow. She also started laying up off the tee, which didn't help. Still, she's tied for the lead at 10 under going into the weekend. Jin Young kept within two shots of the lead most of the day, but she had a mini-meltdown (not shown alas) which cost her four shots late in the day. Fortunately she birdied the last. She only ended up shooting 71 after being four under for the day at one point. She hit just 11 greens and had a measly 230 yard driving average. But when she hit the ball well, she scored, so if she can work out the kinks tomorrow she is still in this. Hyo Joo was Hyo Joo. Nothing spectacular, but she hung in there and is one back. If she can start putting more like her usual self she is perfectly positioned to get the trophy. https://www.instagram.com/p/C3sA_CjvuNU Jenny and Mi Hyang slid down the board. A Lim and Hye Jin had decent days and are on the edge of being in this, 6 under and 5 under respectively. Hye Jin Chips in: https://www.instagram.com/p/C3rx0i2vAJo Hwaiting! Na Rin An

Sei Young Kim went into a protect mode after getting to twelve under. Don't understand why she hit a three wood on thirteen which broth the bunker in play. Instead of hitting a driver over the bunker, which she usually would do. After that she started to play slower and moving doing her approach shots. Still, she shot four under and is tied for the lead.
After a three birdie two bogey front nine Hyo Jo Kim made three birdies back nine to get within one.
Jinny Shin came back with three birdies one bogey last five holes after two bogeys front nine.
Another three under round by A Lim Kim three birdies, three bogeys and an Eagle on eighteen.
Jin Young Ko driving average for two rounds is two thirty-five and putting average is twenty-five. Also hit only twenty one of thirty-six greens so putting helping until the other stats improve. She did take advantage of the greens she hit with seven birdies although one was a chip in.

Hyo Joo is as steady as ever. Sei Young keeps taking one step forward then one step back. And they even showed Hye-Jin on the telecast a few minutes ago! Along with beautiful Lilia Vu! Both could be competitive for 2nd place but Patty T is like a force of nature right now...

Curious if anyone has an opinion about the color of Jaravee Boonchant's skirt today. Obviously blue but more specifically what shade or designation of blue. I called it 'royal blue' in front of my wife but she laughed and said that I was probably wrong because of my horrible color judgment. But she never saw Boonchant's skirt on the broadcast so who knows?
And "Fur-oo" not wearing any clothing in her trademark color today. No wonder she's lost four strokes to Patty T and five to Pedersen on the day. Go Sei Young and Hyo Joo!

Tavatanakit just made an eagle and that's it for me this week, I'm not going to watch her steamroller the field again.
I hope Sei Young works on her game, there's some potential that she can get a win this year. Not sure what's happening with Jin Young, but it's her first tournament in a few months, so hopefully she can turn it around fast and contend next week. Hwaiting!

Tasty threesome tomorrow. Jin Young, Jenny and LiliaDid get to see beautiful Lilia one time, they showed her when she birdied her 2nd consecutive hole on 15. She's marginally competitive for 2nd, barely, but Tavatanakit is unreachable from her position.
Seems like the Asian tournaments do not have as many cameras on the course? They tend to continue following a single group, usually the leader group, tonight (GMT-5) it's Patty T, Sagstrom with the Amy Yang style hat, and Sei Young, the final group.

Speaking of plugging in, who plugged in Chanettee today?!? She was dead in the water after two rounds and today she's minus-8 after 13!
And they keep showing Lilia, I don't know why, she's not going to win and maybe she has a marginal chance at 2nd, very unlikely. For years they have ignored Lilia, even after she did something that no American had done in two and a half decades last year. Maybe now that she has an important sponsor, she is suddenly interesting? She's always been interesting to me...

Another Thai amateur I've never heard of who hits it 300 yards. What the heck do they put in the water down there? It's basically Sisters surrounded by bombers: PT, Pedersen, Ariya, Sagstrom, the two Thai long hitters. Let's hope they set the Singapore event up more equitably.
