There are a lot of international players on the LPGA tour.
What must international players do to earn their LPGA tour cards? Maybe it's a simple answer like save enough money for hotels and travel for Q-Series. Are there any requirements to enter Q-Series?
Members on the forum mentioned previously winners of an LPGA tour event gain their tour cards. With the KLPGA no longer cooperating with the LPGA and the BMW event, how do KLPGA Members get into LPGA tour events? I assume it's their world ranking. Like Minji playing various majors.

There are different rounds of Q-School. The highest ranked players can skip to the final round, while the lower ranked ones might be able to skip the first round but need to play rounds 2 and 3. I think anyone can play if they pay the entrance fee and start at the first round.
Also, I think Epson tour players can skip rounds depending on how well they did on their money list?

I forgot the Epson tour and its previous iterations. I think some top players of Epson gets automatically into the LPGA. I don't know how many.

I'm torn between the KLPGA players dashing off to the LPGA which they definitely should be able to do and the growth and promotion of the wonderful KLPGA tour.

I'm torn between the KLPGA players dashing off to the LPGA which they definitely should be able to do and the growth and promotion of the wonderful KLPGA tour. So am I!!!! However the days of the Korean players winning more LPGA Tournaments maybe over. Because the KLPGA Tour is growing, and the players are reluctant to leave. Also the USA are getting more quality players from college and more Thai players are coming over. Edit; I miss seeing Na Rin An and Hye Jin Choi who I saw a lot on the KLPGA.

Cost, risk, family, loneliness, language barrier, culture, it could be tough to rush off to the US at the first possible opportunity.

I think eventually there will be some stars coming over from Korea to replenish the Korean squad over here, and there will be an upswing in the fortunes of Korea. What they really need is long hitters, since so many events are primed to benefit them, and just our luck, there are a number of bombers who are rising on the KLPGA. It would shock me if Min Sol Kim is not a big star in three years or so.
Interesting year in Majors. All five winners were ethnically Asian, and none of them represented Korea, Japan or Thailand (!). Didn't see that coming at the start of the year.
Meanwhile, though the Sisters have not won very much, Hyo Joo and Jin Young are 1-2 in scoring average, and Hyo Joo is tied for most top tens. We could see Koreans winning the ROY and the Vare Trophy, and Jin Young could possibly be number one again by the end of the year. So, though it is still a trying time for Korea, it's not all grim.

Yes, but there is a difference for me between individual success and institutional success.
Players leaving for the LPGA is an individual decision and risk for more international fame and money. Of course, I like knowing Koreans are doing well on the LPGA tour, but it isn't that important to me since I don't watch the LPGA at all.
The individual choice to go to the LPGA is different from how to continue to boost the KLPGA prestige.
Maybe within the LPGA community, the KLPGA is already legendary for the talent they've already produced and thus the animosity between the KLPGA and LPGA. I still don't know the back story on that BMW Championship rift. How many tours around the world have the balls to go head to head against the LPGA in their own country?
Since the KLPGA already has a reputation, what must be done to grow that reputation? Maybe broadcast rounds in more Asian languages. I don't know.
