The International Crown team lineup will be set in April! So it's time to start tracking who will make the team.
Currently, based on world ranking, here is the team:
5 Jin Young Ko 5.80 8 In Gee Chun 4.68 9 Hyo Joo Kim 4.32 14 Min Ji Park 3.35
Some interesting factoids: - Korea is of course the defending champion. The only player from that team who might return is In Gee. - No KLPGA player has ever played on the team, but Min Ji is in a good position to do so. However, she won't play much if any golf before the teams are chosen (unless she plays outside the KLPGA).
Here are the players who still are close enough to make the team: 20 Hye Jin Choi 3.10 24 Sei Young Kim 2.83 32 Su Ji Kim 2.40 37 Jeongeun Lee6 2.20 38 Inbee Park 2.19 * (but will probably be out of action due to maternity leave)
It's some mark of how poorly the LPGA golfers played last year that only four additional ones are in the top 40, and one of them was rookie Choi.
Doubtful they can make it, but you never know:
45 So Mi Lee 2.06 46 Yewon Lee 2.02 47 A Lim Kim 1.99 50 Hae Ran Ryu 1.94

Good job, your ratings are three weeks ahead of the LPGA website.
The Swedes could win this, but they are in danger of getting jobbed ... extremely stale Covid protocols might block Linn Grant from playing here ... shee**, even the Aussies stopped fighting Djokovic ... if Grant can't make it, next on the list is Caro Hedwall, which is a HUGE drop-off.
Regarding Oz, Sarah Kemp and Su Oh are not far off from passing Grace Kim.

I just hope the four Korean's run away with this thing and cause heartburn for the LPGA media in the USA.

Min Ji Park will be out on the street after Penguin Princess and/or BadA$$ rack up LPGA top-tens and top-fives in the next five weeks or so. Park could help herself by getting into Chevron ... two invitee spots are open ... interesting that Chairwoman Mao got into Chevron under the heading 'Top-40 Rolex Rankings' ... no KLPGAers were interested?
Linn Grant (SWE) moved up three spots to #21 ... what a disgrace if Organized Knuckleheadary blocks her entrance to Harding Park.
DK should be not be comfortable with last USA spot ... The Kup Show is a big game hunter just five spots behind.
Sarah Kemp and Grace Kim in a dead heat for the last Aussie spot ... Su Oh can't even get into the game.
If Vongtaveelap is really good, she'll crash the Thai team with ease ... the math would be in her favor with good finishes in a small number of events (if she can get into them).

Min Ji has said she wants to go to the LPGA and intends to play several big events this year, but I have no idea if she cares about the International Crown. In any event, I fully expect Sei Young or Hye Jin are making it as the 4th player (probably Hye Jin, although the way her ranking crawls even when she plays well, it's quite possible Sei Young could surprise). Heck, even if Min Ji finishes ahead of them, the powers that be might decide to put an LPGA player over her. I think that happened in 2018 IIRC (not with Min Ji, with I think Hye Jin)?

I believe the DIO Implant Open is the final event before the teams are selected. I think Sei Young and Hye Jin still have a shot at making the team with a good performance this week. To be honest, they might pick one of them over Min Ji Park even if Min Ji out-points them; I recall them doing that before (2018?) when the top four didn't necessarily go. I think In Gee was 6th that year, but Inbee bailed and whatever KLPGA golfer was ahead of her (might have been Hye Jin) was passed over. Not 100% sure, it was a long time ago.

For some reason, I thought the player deadline was at the end of April ... but, I just checked a post of mine from last November which confirms that the Rolex list of April 3 is the final scoreboard. However, for some dumb reason, no date is mentioned when you look up the team standings on the LPGA website.

Of all the players that deserve to go if they qualify it, is Min Ji Park. She earned her Ranking even though Rolex ranks the LPGA much higher than the KLPGA. Except for Jin Young Ko and Hyo Ju Kim I think Su Ji Kim would be a better pick than the other LPGA golfers that's close.

In Gee rises to the occasion in tough events, though. She was the MVP last time.
