A truly LIVE broadcast of Round Three (the YouTube police must be napping):
Erika Hara was wearing Mizuno golf shoes ... I didn't know they made shoes ... just showed Shibuno chipping at the practice green in a skirt/knee high sock outfit - that might be new for her.
The SS Feng is just mailing it in this week.

It's hard to believe the YouTube stream ran non-stop for the entire 4 hr and 45 min time slot ... then I jumped over immediately to the NTV broadcast for another 55 minutes ... it was absolutely riveting. I had the Orange/Winbee on another browser, but I couldn't watch an exhibition over this.

BML did not drive the ball well, but hit many good recovery shots. The topper was the birdie putt at #17, which you might see at Augusta Natl as she almost had her back to the hole when she struck it.
Hinako Shibuno hit the stick with about a 40-yd pitch at the par-5 9th and settled for a two-inch tap in birdie. She briefly had the lead at -8, but her swing got discombobulated at the end. Also, it was not one of her better chipping and putting days.
Obviously a massive herd followed this pairing
Look out for SW Bae who hit a superb approach at #18 for an easy birdie
Teresa Lu lost her bearings on the back nine, but she can still win.

hope shibuno wins player of year and money queen...
with a 300K yen first place by shibuno will probably clinch it but depending on suzuki and shin even a second place might do it..

I obviously would love to see Bo Mee win this; she has been in the doghouse for so long, and it would be a great wedding present. If not her, Seon Woo. Although it will probably end up being Shibuno again, I'll send all my positive vibes out to the Sisters. Bo Mee and Seon Woo HWAITING!!!  PS - Bo Mee Lee was the top sports search term on the Korean internet when I looked up the KLPGA vs. LPGA results last night. Five of the top ten were related to the KLGA vs. LPGA, though, even if not the top! |
