Nuria Iturrioz and Bronte Law are two nice additions. Mel Reid is playing better lately and is a good Solheim Cup player. Esther Henseleit and Meghan MacLaren are good prospects, too. They don't play the Solheim Cup on paper for a reason!

The top 9 players on the US points list have 2 majors, Lexi and DKang.
It’s not like the 90’s.

Too bad the Euros couldn't play the SC right after the 2nd round of the AIG British Open...six players in the top-nine. I don't understand how Law and Boutier haven't already clinched a spot on the their team since each has a win this year.

Meanwhile, Ol' Randall is hand-wringing about Crusty and Pouty:
“Marina Alex, Megan Khang, Brittany Altomare and Lizette Salas have, week in and week out, been very, very consistent,” Inkster said. Juli must look at the scores because that’s the only place to find this information. Good for her.

Needing to add veterans to this team is either an insult to, or an indictment of, the players who qualify.
Lexi, Korda, Kang and Salas should be able to lead this team.

I'd have liked to see Meghan MacLaren make the team because she's smart and a good writer but I think she stumbled a bit at the last few tournaments.

All the Cup Greats get one captain's pick but SP hasn't even been on the map. It may have worked to her benefit.

Petterson! Why didn't Dame Laura get the pick?! She only shot a 68 and got a freakin' hole-in-one in the middle of a typhoon on a links course this week! And ended up -5, T24 for the tournament! Same score as Georgia and Celine! Petterson couldn't even make the cut being on the "good" side of the draw!
If I gave a F*** about the Solheim Cup I'd be outraged.

Well, they need her on the poster and ads to fire up American morons.

Before her T-24 at AIG, Dame Laura had 14 straight trunk slams going back to last year. Tutta has more upside potential for the Euros if she can get in shape by next month. The picks of Law, Boutier and Jodi E-S all made sense, but Europe had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for that last pick.
Meanwhile, Annie Park is still stuck behind Austin Ernst by a razor thin margin on the Rolex Rankings...this will be the tournament within a tournament in Canada. Also Ally McDonald has a chance to sneak past Brittany Altomare for the 8th spot.

The SP pick gives Insker the cover to pick Betsy King and Nancy Lopez.

Catriona didn't have much to lose with SP. None of the remaining Euro major leaguers wow me ... Pernilla - played five majors and bombed out of four. Nanna Cursed Mad has been mediocre the last two months. Except for a T-3 at KPMG, Mel Reid has been lousy. Bea and Sandra packed it in for the year, but they weren't setting the world on fire anyway. Sagstrom plays like a world-beater (two top-10s), but also plays like crap (eight MCs)...but she might be the only one I would have picked over Tutta. Two Euros on the Symetra tour have two wins this year, Maguire and Delacour...I don't even know if minor leaguers are eligible for this event.

Someone on the US team needs to get online and BLAST the SP pick.
Start some stuff or this thing will be almost over before anybody is paying attention.
