Sung Hyun Park will displace Ariya Jutanugarn as No. 1 on Monday, March 4; Minjee Lee will be a strong No. 3. Jin Young Ko and Nelly Korda will have almost identical Rolex scores; they'll be #8 and #9.
Based on the first 5 tournaments; 2019 will belong to Nelly Korda, Jin Young Ko, Sung Hyun Park and Minjee Lee. Ariya has started her downward process and won't be a factor in the future.
Nelly Korda will be a future No. 1, either in 2019 or 2020.

It appears Anne Van Dam, who's just won a tournament, will be in the field.
Anne leads LPGA in driving distance, 306.25 yards.
She's her supporters:

Lucky 6 has taken over the lead on rookie of the year race
LOUISE SUGGS ROLEX ROOKIE OF THE YEAR Last Updated 03-03, 2019
1. Lucky 6 98 2. Charlotte Thomas 85 3. Lauren Stephenson 73 4. Kristen Gillman 45 5. Isi Gabsa 41
Lucky 6 also leads greens in regulation, 82.6%.
Lucky 6 is a clear favorite; but it will be an intriguing battle this year.

She started slowly last season as well. My guess is that both Ariya Jutanugarn and So Yeon Ryu will regain their form and each will be a winner in 2019. Would not be surprised, however, to see Jin Young Ko finish atop the standings at year end. She has such a complete game -- and the best swing in golf (sorry In Gee).

greensinreg I've been counting Ariya out since the beginning of this season. Ariya physically isn't as fit as many other players; and those other players like Nelly Korda, Lucky 6 are getting better and better. Sooner or later Ariya's body will catch up with her. The early data show Nelly #2 in GIR and #13 in putts per GIR; Jin Young #6 and #6. They're clearly two of the best ball strikers on the tour. Their main difference; Nelly is 20 (born 7/26/98) and Jin Young 23 (born 7/7/95). By the way, I'm not a Johnny come lately on Nelly Korda; I bet Nelly against Sung Hyun Park on 2017 Rookie of the Year race. By the way, In Gee Chun is my favorite and the only reason I follow LPGA. I agree with you that her swing looks good and she's one of the ball strikers in 2015; unfortunately her ball striking has deteriorated since then and right now it's her liability. I sincerely hope In Gee can regain her touches soon; otherwise have to pray Yealimi Noh won't be another disappointment.

Anne van Dam shoots in the 60s. The white belts discovered her perfect swing on social media and think she has a cool name. I predict a Golfweek feature article in her near future.

It's official. Congratulations, Sung Hyun. It's amazing that nobody on the broadcast mentioned this as a possibility (unless I missed it). Still, the point total is so low! I recall #1 players being well over 10 points in the past. Nobody is dominant right now.

I'm glad more people are saying In Gee needs to get a new coach and new perspective. Even though it won't happen; at least Dr. Won Park will get the message that he's been resting on his laurels for too long.

HappyFanWouldn't it be a good idea to rescind mr3putt ban on the anniversary of March 18, 2019? You can always ban him again if any new issues arise.

I don't think that Ariya will have the great year like 2018. But there are a lot of LPGA golf setups that fit her game. Looking at the way the first two tournament courses were setup. It looks like there will be a lot of players putting for Eagles, which suit Ariya game. Not too mention she will also be able to tee off with irons on par fours. Unless they decide to challenge the golfers like the HSBC was setup.
Edit: My vote is still no on 3putt. Speaking only for myself.

jumpcut Monday qualification list has grown to 59; still no guarantee Yealimi Noh will make the field. Kelly Tan is also on the list; she's under Class A/Veteran International Members status and is in no danger of being bumped out.
