I groaned when I saw Anika starting to interview Jin Young, but she got out of the way and just let her speak. Pretty impressive that she spoke in a second language in front of a large audience without notes...she was confident, funny and endearing.
Were there really only 88 people watching the FB feed? They should have had Oprah there cuz EVERYONE got a watch!

I originally planned not to watch any of this, but took a look later and, boy, The New Ko was really good. As for the number of FB viewers, it said 209 when I was watching.
BTW, when will they announce a preliminary 2019 schedule? They used to do it during the week of this tournament, but I think they do it later now...

I didn't check the number of viewers until Ariya's POY presentation at the end. There were probably more earlier, but 209 is still pitiful.
In the red carpet interview Whan said something about a new $2 million team event where the players pick their own partners.

Unfortunately, the Koreans don't tend to excel on courses where a lot of people go low. Sometimes they win 'em (Thornberry), sometimes not; but those types of courses are not ideal for showcasing the grit that makes the Sisters stand out.
I saw somewhere (twitter?) that the LPGA was claiming over 100,000 people watched all or part of the Facebook feed live. I'm not sure why the number posted on the page would not reflect that, but that's what they were saying.

Here are some pix of So Yeon's award. Unfortunately, I was not able to watch live because I was at work at the time. From these pix, it looks like Inbee helped to present the award via satellite? https://www.instagram.com/p/BqOlzwSAhCP

Wow, thanks for posting this! Jin Young absolutely knocked it out of the park. She seemed so comfortable speaking English! She was both emotional and dignified. What a charming young lady. And I'm so glad she thanked Dean Herden, whom I was afraid had parted with her on bad terms. As if that weren't enough, we got about ten quality So Yeon Ryu minutes. I loved the interview -- her calling IK a Buddha cracked me up. And both So Yeon and Jin Young looked like a million bucks tonight. I also quite enjoyed the Danielle Kang cart talk. I never knew she was a teetotaler. I always imagined her as a bigtime partier. Her story about how some of her sports celeb friends were crying after she won the KPMG was a riot.
