Wonder what the strength of field rating for this event would be. The winner would get about 26 Rolex ranking points; compared to 20 for typical KLPGA or JLOGA events. What do you get for winning an LPGA event?

Majors are 100 by default, regular events are 27-70 depending on the strength of field. This event has many top 10, 20 and 50 players; but the strength of field is hurt by a limited field of only 26.

I've watched this sporadically for 90 minutes...going to bed soon...Minjee chipped in from off the green to win a hole...this ringer should prevent the LPGAers from getting embarrassed again. I can envision this event morphing into the LPGA sisters against the world sisters (I'd add two more players to each side)...that could bring in the likes of Hwang, JY Shin and SJ Ahn from Japan...except that the JLPGA season runs so long that it might not be possible.
I've seen very little of the match with MHL...some things never change no matter where you are. UPDATE: Okay, they just showed Jenny from The ROK make a birdie putt to tie her match, but in general they are not showing this match...and Lucky 6 is in this one.
It would make sense to team Mi Hyang with Chella on Saturday so they can use a Volvik ball during alternate shot.
Sung Hung can be really bad from the bunkers...she flew her ball over the green one shot and just made a mediocre shot now that ran past the pin quite a bit.

Day two match ups:
Match 1:
Inbee Park/Jeong Eun Lee 5 vs. Hye Jin Choi/Seung Hyun Lee
Inbee has to face the KLPGA Player of the Year a second straight day
Match 2:
Danielle Kang/So Yeon Ryu vs. So Young Lee/Cecilia Cho
Kang and Ryu are a fun team
Match 3:
Sung Hyun Park/Minjee Lee vs. Ha Na Jang/Da Yeon Lee
Can Minjee tame the Tiger?
Match 4:
Lydia Ko/Jennifer Song vs. Ji Young Kim 2/Ji Hyun Kim 2
This is the 'forgettable' match on the course I think
Match 5:
In Gee Chun/Jenny Shin vs. Ji Hyun Kim/Ji Hyun Oh
The Ji Hyuns take on Dumbo and Jenny. I would wonder if In Gee can draw out the normally placid Shin, but after that tee box dance Jenny did in round 1, I don't think that will be a concern.
Match 6:
Mi Hyang Lee/Chella Choi vs. A Lim Kim/Jeong Eun Lee 6
Lucky Six gets another chance, this time teamed with the big bomber. Can Team Volvik prevail?
Sitting out: Eun Hee Ji, Char Young Kim

On one internet portal, In Gee Chun is the 5th most searched sports term right now -- and Jenny Shin is third most. I guess that dance really increased her fan interest level! (none of the other players in the Orange Life are top ten at the moment).

Some good matches coming up day two. Can the KLPGA get over losing all but one Match of Foursomes to the JLPGA last year.
In the middle of the matches I thought that the KLPGA players forgot how to putt. They missed too many birdie putts, but they recovered later. To keep the match close against the ringers chipping the ball in. Any way I am glad they decided to play with their regular players. Instead of recruiting out side of their tour.
