Jin Young started out great, three birdies in the first six holes. . .she was tied for second at -10 then disaster struck with one blow into the pond at the eighth. . .double bogey and her day was done. . .she says her energy was cut in half due to a sore throat she had gotten the day before. . .she winds up with a top ten and stays put at #6 in the Race to the Globe. . . From her instagram . . . She writes "The tournament in Taiwan was well finished ... It was a very disappointing tournament ,,,,, Actually, there was a lot of thought that I could come in the last round .... Since yesterday, I had a sore throat, It was a very hard and hard night as the heat rises up to over 40 degrees... Nevertheless, I am very proud to have played so wonderfully in the first half of the day. I also think that God is leading me. In the second half of the game, I saw the ball drop two times as the physical strength dropped sharply, and the ground moved, too. . . @nellykorda congratulations !! I was so scared last night ....... I am glad ... It is not like yesterday today .... huh ... thank God"

This is the first year in a long time US has more winners (8) than Korea (7).
Korea still has more wins (9) than the US (8); thanks to Sung Hyun Park.

I accidentally went to the LPGA website and spoiled myself on the results...I guess I'll still watch it tonight, but it won't be the same.
I hesitate to knock Feng and Liu for backing out of this event at the last minute...either could have won, but who knows what kind of grief would have been applied by the Red Chinese thugs to them and their families had they played. My regular China golf website has a report on the final round, but no picture collections. Getty Images covered the tournament, but Zimbio did not pick up those photos...like they do with all other LPGA tournaments. AP Images, another profile in jelly, has pix from last week's LPGA/Shanghai, but nothing from Taiwan.
"We're here and we're proud."

Kind of bummed to see that Jin Young couldn't catch the Golfers ahead of her. Defiantly better than them. Well she did hang on for a top ten.
So Yeon played better with four birdies, but made a double bogey again. She at least kept her top twenty streak going.

Nelly looks like a NASCAR. Honestly looking forward to her thanking sponsors for 60 seconds after a win. Given the demographics it's surprising they don't have more "old man" stuff sponsors. Metamucil, etc.

So Yeon dropped to number twelve in Scoring Average after this tournament. However she is not that far from number ten. She just need to play her normal game, with no more over par rounds. To keep her streak going of finishing inside the top ten every year on tour. I believe she also finished top ten or better every year on the KLPGA tour.

To keep her streak going of finishing inside the top ten every year on tour. I believe she also finished top ten or better every year on the KLPGA tour. So Yeon is under par against par 72 but she's over par against par 70. For comparison: 12. So Yeon +16 11. Inbee +8 10. Lexi +11 9. Ernst +8
If So Yeon shoots 66 (-4 against par 70) in her next 3 rounds; she'll cut her over par from +16 to +4 and be safely inside top 10.
