Here are a couple of the new promo clips for the KLPGA's 2015 season. In the first one, it's interesting what four qualities they choose to define each of the four players they pick for the ad (In English, too, so no need to translate!). Not to spoil, but: what is In Gee Chun's 'secret' Here's the second one. Now the four qualities are about the KLPGA in general. The second, 'Best', refers to the highest total purse and # of tournaments in history. The third one needs no translation (yep, they went there... ). The fourth is promoting this year's rookie class as a strong one.

Il Mi Chung won the first KLPGA senior event of the season...shot 73-71-144 and picked up W8 million (about $7,345). It appears that the seniors play the same golf course (Century 21 CC) twice a month thru August. It’s in the middle of nowhere in the far north-central part of the ROK. Maybe it’s a resort or retirement area. SBS Golf becomes the senior tour’s title sponsor the September and October events, location TBD.

I really appreciate this forum because I try to follow the KLPGA Tour but it is tough, due to the language barrier and the fact that the translation sites are so bad with Korean to English. I did find out one of my favorite players Shinae Ahn had knee surgery so she's going to be out a while She posted these on twitter

The S. Korean and Chinese are talking over the world...ok maybe not....just golf. Fila Korea owns Acushnet (Titleist) and 99% of all golf heads are from Chinese foundries.
I like the ads above.

mr3putt: ...and 100% of all golf head forgeries are from Chinese foundries. If I decide to pick up a used driver from Golfsmith, it better be real. BTW, the one I visit has several used T/M R1 drivers. Its pricier than the most among used drivers, but its got a strange allure. I remember watching Stacy Lewis murder it at last year's Shop-Rite. GS has a nice one with a Regular Aldila shaft (was this the stock shaft?) for about $130. It's probably not worth it, but maybe I'll take a few whacks into the net tomorrow. mr3putt: Frankly, considering the size of the Mainland China, they are seriously lagging behind the other Asian golf giants in producing world-class players. For the women, you've got Shan Shan, and then there's a huge drop off after that...Taiwan is way ahead. It's little schizophrenic over there...lots of golf courses, but the current government hates golf and tries to shut down golf courses! UPDATE:Did I speak too soon? The "other" Feng is making a big run up the board in Round 2 of the Swinging Skirts.

I worry about the future of golf in Mainland China. It's got to be stressful for the Chinese players.
