I feel like I missed out on Lucy’s career before she turned......11.

They had a 4.5-hour fog delay...some players didn't even start their second rounds until 6:57 PM local time. Lucy Li finished her 2nd round with a 69...she's front row and center in the pic below. Pat Hurst is the back row, second from left. I noticed on Li's clothing and bag that she gives no hint for a college preference. She's playing hard-to-get or maybe she'll turn pro at 18 instead.

Three of the four quarterfinal matches have started:
Luci Li 1-up thru 9 holes vs. Doey Choi
Alexa Pano 3-up thru 7 holes vs. Suzuka Yamaguchi
Yealimi Noh 1-up thru 4 holes vs. Valery Plata Ashley Gilliam vs. Gina Kim
I vaguely remember Yamaguchi at the range of the 2015 USWO at Lancaster CC.
Defending champion Erica Shepherd reacts after missing her putt on the 16th green. Shepherd was eliminated by Valery Plata, 3 and 2. (USGA/JD Cuban)

All that money from Fox and this event is not being broadcast...I thought they showed it in the past. Maybe it's good that they won't, considering the long daily fog delays...is it normal for this golf course? They charge $80 Mon-Thu greens fees for members and $250 for non-members...I'll pass.
Suzuka Yamaguchi waits by the practice area during the nearly six-hour fog delay on Friday. (USGA/JD Cuban)

The forecast for most of coastal California this time of year is "late night and early morning low clouds," i.e. fog. Locals call it May Gray and June Gloom. They haven't come up with a good rhyme for July.

They found time to broadcast the men junior. The first round is scheduled for today. The lady golfers are disrespected on all levels.
I think that the last time they broadcast it, two Koreans were in the final. Or maybe it was when Princess Superial won it.
I was hoping that they would at least tape the final round. But could not find any broadcast.

I really thought that the Fox deal mandated that they broadcast all of the USGA events...apparently they had some wiggle room regarding that. FS1 will carry the U.S. Women's Amateur Aug. 8 thru 12.
Noh knocked off Gina Kim, while Li lost to Pano.
Noh has a big lead on Pano and should finish her off soon.
Lucy Li plays her third shot to the 18th green during the Semifinals. Li missed a 7-foot birdie putt to extend the match after her opponent, Alexa Pano, converted an 8-footer for birdie. (USGA/JD Cuban)

Poppy Hills and the Northern California Golf Association gave 2018 U.S. Girls' Junior champion Yealimi Noh a commemorative bike for winning on Saturday. The bike was outside the Players' Lounge all week and featured the championship logo and a USGA logo on the seat. (USGA/JD Cuban)

Isn't giving her a prize against the rules of amateur golf?
