Normally, I wouldn't care about this one, but it's a biggie in my backyard this week...I'll try to get there for at least one day. It's at Echo Lake CC, the site of Winbee's US Junior Girls win in 2002. I'll check to see if there's a framed pic of her in the bar.
This was a two-round event in Florida for the longest time, until 2017 when they moved it to NJ and made it a four-round event. They'll play Tuesday thru Friday and a cut will be made after Thursday's round. They'll send out the girl groups starting at 7 AM and then the boy groups will go out afterward (everyone starting from the 1st tee). Erica Shepherd and Lucy Li are the class of this field. Don't know if there are any future Tigers among the boys...I'll have to look up those names in WAGR to see if any rate highly.
They started a photo album for this event here:
Samples:
The first hole is the only one where the boys and girls play from the same tee...the boys course is 7078 and the girls is 6355 (both par-71).

Who'll be the pride of China, Lucy Li or Angelina Ye?

Lucy Li is a cut above other juniors. However, my bet is still on Angelina to do better than Lucy in the long term.

This was my day at Echo Lake CC, followed Erica Shepherd on the front nine, then waited for the next group w/ Luci Li and followed her on the back nine.

Later, I waited for the boys group with Monday leader A. Bhatia to show up at the 17th tee...he was also playing with defending champ K. Vilips I had no idea Bhatia was tearing up the course today even more than he did on Monday...amazing, and he looks like a starvation case that just escaped a desert island.
1 Akshay Bhatia Wake Forest, N.C. (2020) -12 66 64 130 2 Karl Vilips (Australia) Wesley Chapel, Fla. (2020) -3 70 69 139 3 Ryan Hall Knoxville, Tenn. They're doing the tee times totally different on Thursday...sending out foursomes from the 1st and 10th tees...they'll have a cut afterward.

Round Three:
USC's assistant coach was following Amari Avery on Wednesday (she played with Shepherd and Anne Chen, two future Dukies)...she's about 14 but definitely has some game...carries PXG gear.
1 Erica Shepherd Greenwood, Ind. (2019) -3 72 68 70 210 2 Rachel Heck Memphis, Tenn. (2020) -1 71 71 70 212 3 Lucy Li Redwood Shores, Calif. (2020) E 68 75 70 213 4 Serena Sepersky Temecula, Calif. (2019) +3 74 73 69 216 5 Aneka Seumanutafa Emmitsburg, Md. (2019) +5 72 72 74 218 T6 Amari Avery Riverside, Calif. (2022) +6 77 71 71 219 T6 Yoona Kim (South Korea) Fair Lawn, N.J. (2020) +6 75 73 71 219 T6 Lei (Angelina) Ye (China) Bradenton, Fla. (2019) +6 73 77 69 219
This is just a travesty...Akshay Bhatia (#142 on WAGR) is steamrolling everyone, including the defending champ Karl Vilips (#56 on WAGR)...and I saw Vilips drive it 330 on the 18th hole in Round Two, 30 yards ahead of Bhatia...obviously that advantage hasn't helped him.
1 Akshay Bhatia Wake Forest, N.C. (2020) -17 66 64 66 196 T2 Bo Jin (China) Encinitas, Calif. (2020) -4 71 70 68 209 T2 Ryan Hall Knoxville, Tenn. (2018) -4 72 68 69 209 4 J. Erica Shepherd should have won this...more on Blonde FIGJAM later in my report of Round Two. However, I'll concede that Rachel Heck has been a well-known commodity in the junior ranks for the last 2-3 years.

All Akshay Bhatia had to do was show up on time to win this one.
