Today's Mediheal broadcast included this revealing comparison of 2012 vs. 2016 vs. 2018:

Yes, Leadbetter RUINED her...she continued winning with (or despite) him for a while, until his methods sent her off the rails. Let's put aside the driver distance issue (which is overrated)...it's her proximity to the hole tee-to-green that has degraded the most. Funny how Gary Gilchrist was not mentioned and LK's 2017 swing was not shown. What did he do for her anyway? Not much, I guess. I still recall watching him give her a Chipping 101 lesson from the rough surrounding a green during a 2017 USWO practice round. Huh???! Stupples says her current swing is "between" the 2012 and 2016 swings. Is that the interim or final objective of current coach Ted Oh? Is it physically possible to turn the clock to 2012? BTW, her current weight loss is clear to see between 2012 and 2018, which has done absolutely nothing for her. In fact, she probably has a higher center of gravity now...which Shin Ae Ahn can tell her is problematic. The most startling part of the video begins at 1:47 - an elapsed-time comparison of all three full swings.
Her first coach, Guy Wilson, was not mentioned. He doesn't do Golf Channel commercials...and I never saw his face plastered on junk being pedaled at Golfsmith...but, he's not a clown. Here's a quote I never read before (article link below):
When they worked on Lydia's long game, Wilson -- in contrast to a popular teaching philosophy that says junior golfers should learn to hit the ball hard, then learn to control it -- discouraged her from "trying to create more power than she could." Influenced by physiotherapists at the Institute of Golf that he co-founded after leaving Pupuke, Wilson believed such an approach would have wrecked her swing and eventually her body.
"If our goal from day one was to get her to hit it as far as she can, she wouldn't be playing golf anymore," he says. "She'd be busted, her back would be done. We always said that rhythm was good."
