In Bee is leading every major LPGA categories; Official Money, Race to CME Globe and Player of the Year, with the exception of scoring average.
I think Inbee has under performed for her career; even though she's won 19 tournaments including 7 majors plus an Olympics Gold Medal.

Nelly Korda practiced at Lake Merced Golf Club, that's where the tournament will be held next week.

Who would ever believe that Lexi is No. 16 on Official Money after nine tournaments, more than a quarter of the season!

The par 3 10th hole at Wilshire CC is an interesting hole, but it should not be the 18th hole for an LPGA tournament. A 7-iron or less with the ball teed up does not present a big challenge. Now, the actual 18th hole, which played as the 17th for the tournament, presents a challenge- 420+ yards, water right, native area left, and a long second shot, but there isn't space to put up hospitality tents and grandstands.
One possible solution might be to flip the nines and finish at the 9th hole. They could move up the tee box on number 1 and create a hospitality area behind the 9th green where the first tee was located.

...and Marina asphyxiated again. But, I'm happy for Moriya...interesting how her putts didn't wobble or deviate on Sunday afternoon, as if the Poa growth took the day off. Is this really the only way to get across Beverly Blvd? There must be some other crossing point for big maintenance vehicles, right? They should block off that street and make a temporary crossing for the tournament. Good mo' for MHL...carry it to Frisco.

In other words-- not gonna happen. The maintenance area is in an area south of the first fairway and east of the 2nd fairway. It appears to be accessible from Beverly Blvd via an access road behind the 1st green/2nd tee box, but it's not practical for spectators.

Congratulations to Moriya on her win, but it seemed to me about twenty minutes into the broadcast that she was going to take it, making this a rather anticlimactic final round. Once again, Inbee made a few more mistakes than we are used to seeing from her. It's pretty incredible that she is notching these top three finishes despite having her B game right now. When she stops missing short par saves and pulling her approaches, watch out! Still, it was a decent final day. You can't ask much more than a 68 on a tough course, and that up and down she got by flopping the ball to a foot was UNREAL. I'm glad the crowds turned out for this tournament, LA has had a history of struggling to attract crowds to LPGA events. Yeah, that walkway is really pathetic, they have got to address that. So Yeon had a really nice event. Two great rounds (including the round of the week), one mediocre and one poor. Nice to see signs of life in her game. Hope she can build on this next week (at her sponsor's event!). Eun Hee just didn't have it, and Jin Young struggled to follow her great Saturday (that final birdie miss was painful). So not the most enjoyable tournament to watch, but still a big step forward. Oh, and Inbee is back to #1! Great job there. Sisters Hwaiting!

Actually Inbee ball striking hasn't been that great all year. Only Inbee could have scored as well as she has, because she is so mentally tough. If she hit a bad shot, she would forget about it and concentrate on the next shot.
I think Jin Young birdie miss helped Inbee get the no.1 ranking.
Also there are so many great players on the LPGA tour now. I don't think that there will be another dominant no.1, like Yani and Lydia were.

I queried Getty Images for "office depot" for the date range of 4/12/2001 thru 4/15/2001, which retrieved the previous LPGA tournament at Wilshire CC. Unfortunately, they show very little of the "old" golf course. ****** As expected, the event was a fashion disaster zone, although a few players hovered a little over the wreckage, such as: A.J. Eathorne and Mhairi McKay Se Ri Pak and SY Kang JRo and Grace Park ********* The absolute rock-bottom Mr. Blackwell booby prize goes to Charlotta Sorenstam...sister Annika was a close 2nd place. ******* After Pat Hurst choked, Annika beat Peanut in a playoff. Amy Alcott had her name in the tournament's title.

IIRC: That tournament featured Annika making the largest come from behind victory in LPGA history: she came from 10 back on the final day. I recall that Peanut actually came from *11* back, so if she had won the playoff it would have been Mi Hyun with the record. Oh well.

Phil if you ever go to San Francisco, never refer to the name as Frisco.
They really, really frown on the name Frisco.

It was such a downer when she lost. Still it was one of my great memories of her golfing career.
