Hi everybody,
Today I decided to suspend Mr3putt's account. This is an open ended suspension; I may decide to let him back on in the future, we'll see. But I feel he has violated the code of conduct here too many times to continue to be allowed to have full membership.
In the past couple of days alone I have received three more private complaints about his behavior. I looked over his posts, and just the past day or so he:
Implied Koreans were forcing Whan to set up their course easy to benefit the Koreans
Insulted Michelle Wie including calling her insulting nickname
Used the troll word 'Merican' and called Americans fat.
Referred to Bo Mee Lee as gagging and also disparaged Mi Hyang Lee and Ha Neul Kim.
Made fun of a member 18Majors who doesn't post around here much anymore.
All of these are small to medium violations of the code of conduct, but he managed all that in less than ten posts. It's part of a never ending pattern of these kinds of abuses. I was hoping he would start to behave himself a little after the post I made about the forum rules, but he seemed unwilling to make any effort to modify his behavior or even admit that he did anything that could be seen as unacceptable. And this is hardly the first time I have asked for him to behave only to be ignored or passive-aggressively belittled. Frankly, I have better things to do than deal with this guy over and over, hence this decision.
To be honest, I find these sorts of admin tasks to be really unpleasant, even if I think they are the right thing to do. I just want to talk about the Korean golfers and have fun. Nonetheless, sometimes you have to do things like this to course correct the forum.
