I was checking out an old CD of the 2008 Corning Classic, that Young Kim won. I kept it because my number one favorite Mi Hyun Kim, was in it..... So Yeon is my no. 1A. Anyway there was a Hye Jung Choi in the tournament. I could find hardly anything about her. Do anyone have any information on her.
Good start for So Yeon at minus four. She did all her scoring on the front side... four birdies, and all pars on the back side. She also hit seventeen greens. If she continue to do that the birdies will come.
Jin Young is still struggling a little with her putting. Sixteen of eighteen greens, missed only two fairways ,but 32 putts. Her putting looked good at the Founders, just couldn't seem to make them. She just need to have that one putt to fall, to start having more success on the greens.
MJ Hur (+2) yucking it up with Hye Jin Choi (E) .... Cyborg's latest foray into the U.S. is disappointing to her stateside fanboys...started on the back nine and tripled #15 ... clawed back to par, but is in a deep hole. Perhaps her game is more suited to a really hard track (like the USWO), which would quickly weed out the pretenders.
UPDATE: That certainly doesn't look like Choi's KLPGA caddy...couldn't she (or Lotte) spring for a plane ticket for her regular loop?
ABBOTT: We could have a real horse race for Rookie of the Year this year.
STUPPLES: I agree, Tom. Hannah Green could give Jin Young Ko a real run for the money.
I'll bet that Jin Young wins ROY by more than 500 points over Hannah. If I win, Stupples isn't allowed to broadcast LPGA tournaments between Jan-Feb 2019. If I lose, I'm not allowed to post on SeoulSisters between Jan-Feb 2019.
Cream rises to the top; like last year, Cristie Kerr is unstoppable at Aviara Golf Couse.
She shot -8 in round 2 and led the tournament by 5 shots at -13 during the morning wave. Can Lydia, Ariya or IK give her a run for the money in the afternoon?
