www.lpga.com/news/2018-hill-is-seasons-first-nominee-xl-catlin-volunteer-service-awardWhan just doesn't get it. The 1st award should be given to Dave Hamada (Cougar)....I think Dave has been volunteering for the LPGA for over 20 years. Dave also volunteers at many LPGA events per year too....anywhere from 6-8 events/yr and travelling on his own coin. Denise Hill lives in the Bahamas and doesn't incur the travel costs....I'm sure she also does have close to the experience of many volunteer roles that Dave will work at any given event. Dave has VIP LPGA credentials too...but I think Whan could do more....like offering him access to any weekly event he wants to attend (eg. gala dinner, Rolex awards dinner, pro-am, etc). Although this will vary.....Dave typically vols at The Founders, Kia, ANA, Lotte, the past Swing Skirts in San Fran, Volunteers, Walmart, Portland and the CME. Dave has more LPGA knowledge in his pinky finger vs. this entire site. Dave is definitely one to reach out and chat with if he's at an event...the man is a PURE CLASS GENTLEMAN...nuff said.

From the linked article... XL Catlin Volunteer Service Award – a new program launched in 2018 to recognize exemplary volunteers at each LPGA tournament.
Hill will join other tournament volunteers nominated throughout the year for a season-ending random drawing that will award a donation of $10,000 in the winning nominee’s name to the charity of the tournament for which the volunteer serves.
BraveDave introduced me to Cougar at the ANA a few years ago. I'm sure he'll be nominated during those West Coast tournaments in the spring.
