I was surprised and somewhat disappointed of Nelly's play. Surprised because she didn't have much LPGA experience. She played above average most of the time.
Disappointed that she would have that one bad round too often. It was a learning experience, so I expect her to improve on that this year. Still it was a pretty good year.

EK Pedersen sat on the LPGA bench for four months...got into the Volvik and proved that she wasn't just another LET washout...it was the start of eight-straight cuts made and it got her into the Solheim. Her second half of the season was bad...which player will show up in 2018?
Really bad season by Il Hee Lee...did nothing aside from two top-30s...followed that up by bombing out of q-school. The slide began in 2016 and she may not have hit rock-bottom yet.

IMO...the biggest disappointment is Dumbo....no wins and 12 months and counting w/o a front hat logo sponsor.

Thanks for rubbing it into 18majors face that Nelly was a FRAUD compared to Namdalla. 18majors might not comeback....I think the final blow was bravedave calling him THE KING OF USELESS INFORMATION....just sayin.

I had already forgotten about the goofs who permitted tricked-up green collars at the KB Star fake major...causing an apology and resignation: ... but one was rehired this week because they couldn't find anyone better for the position. The article below has this translated (unidentified) player comment: "and the things that do not make sense are repeated in KLPGA."www.edaily.co.kr/news/news_detail.asp?newsId=01115206616161144&mediaCodeNo=258******* He won't have So Hyeon Ahn to ogle on the big tour in 2018.

Charley was a big disappointment. 3 top 10's? Meh.
'Same with Jenny. Only two top 10's.
IK was by far the biggest surprise of the year. She was basically non-existent in 2016.
Shanshan climbing to #1 was a bit of a shocker, too.
Michelle finding some form was a nice surprise.

Biggest disappointment of 2017 had to be how the LPGA bumbled the incident at the ANA Inspiration that likely cost Lexi Thompson her second major and the player of the year award. As you might recall, Thompson appeared to be on her way to winning the ANA Inspiration when she was informed at the end of the 12th hole that she was being assessed a four-stroke penalty. Thompson’s two-stroke lead became a two-stroke deficit after a television viewer had called-in to report that Thomson did not place her ball at the spot of her original marker. That's right, the LPGA assessed a 4 stroke penalty based on what some viewer saw on their television. If the TV audience really has this much power, can someone help me figure out how we can get more coverage of HAN Sang-hee and KIM Char Young2.

Blame it all on the Korean who purposefully held back a day before sending in his email so Cheatin Lexi would be assessed another 2 stroke penalty.

My biggest disappoint is that Ryu/Yoo lost her KLPGA playing privileges.

Sorry, but Thompson broke the rules, and the rules are very clear that she should have received a 4-stroke penalty. She should thank her lucky stars they had changed the rule, because in the old days she would have been DQed. I'm actually surprised that the LPGA did the *right* thing and followed what the rules clearly said had to happen rather than make up some excuse or conveniently ignore the call. Oh, and it was certainly not a done deal that Thompson would have won even if the penalty had not occurred. We've seen players screw up the last few holes of this tournament on many occasions.
