www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-40628058Eric Fleming runs a fan site titled SeoulSisters, devoted to South Korean players. He says that the reason why Korean golfers dominate the sport is simple: they work hard. "When a Korean girl shows talent in golf, her family will do whatever it takes to support her dream. Even if that means spending most of their savings to make it possible," he explained. "In return, she is expected to do everything possible to maximise her potential."

Luv it.....force your teenager daughter to sleep in cemeteries and force the child to be responsible to put food on the table for the entire family....and we all thought the Chinese were cruel. Thankfully Dave Henderson read Se Ri's dad's book on child rearing....otherwise the Entitled Canadian Princess would simply be a 8 handicap and only the women's club champion at the Smith Falls G&CC. No wonder NYC told her parents to get lost and stay home so she could be mentored in peace by Meg & Beth in Orlando....just sayin. The media luv Eric...kudos!

Interesting... they sent me an email and requested I comment for their article and I did, but I never heard from them again, so I figured I had missed the deadline or something. Glad they were able to use it!

There is a link to the article on the front page of the BBC News website and in the article itself there is a link to Seoul Sisters. We all should shove up a bit on the couch!

I am going to say this again so maybe 3putt can finally understand it. You keep quoting about stuff you know hardly anything about. Parents in this country pushes their children in sports as well. Especially baseball and golf. I have seen it first hand not comment on what somebody else says or write. If what she said is true Si Ri made a good living in golf. There isn't a lot of different sports for the Korean women to make a living. People sure like to try to make excuses why the U.S players aren't winning more. They have a lot more places to improve their golfing skills. If they choose not to take advantage of it is lack of motivation, or just lazy.

The thing I love the most about this is BBC giving equal amount of quotes in the article to some white dude in the pacific northwest, and the Se Ri frickin Pak.

That's cause I've written far more articles about Korean women's golf than Se Ri has...
