Thanks. For some reason it didn't register to me that this was the video they were talking about. Noh wasn't very generous: 'good thing we had the wind at our backs today so she could reach the green, or she wouldn't have been able to'. Really? It's a 148 yard hole. She might dunk it in the water, but reaching the hole would not be a problem for her, dude! Where did you see/hear Noh's quote?

Where did you see/hear Noh's quote? I thinking Noh was just teasing In Gee. It's in that lpga video. I hope so. In the past there have been a few instances of male Korean golfers being a bit condescending towards the women. I remember when Se Ri made the cut and finished tenth at a men's event back in 2003. One of the KPGA guys in the field went on and on about how this only happened because the course was perfectly set up for her game, blah blah whine whine. I think she kicked his butt, by the way. Anyway, if it had been me, EVEN IF THAT WERE THE CASE, I would have heaped superlatives on Se Ri for an amazing achievement. That was her ONLY men's event ever played, she had one chance, and she made a top ten, despite all the attention on her. It's just the height of obnoxiousness to do what that guy did IMO. There was another time where I think KJ Choi scoffed when asked if the Korean lady golfers were more popular in Korea than the men. Whatever, dude. I think it really bugs some of the guys that the women have done so well internationally while the men haven't. Look at it this way: In Gee put herself into a situation where the people watching would wonder who she was and what she was doing there. She was in an alien situation, and she handled it with her usual aplomb, winning fans by the bushel load, and respect for the LPGA. But still, it was a challenging situation for her. This guy must have realized that; why wouldn't he say something like, "Wow, first try, and she hit the green on 17! Glad she isn't playing this week!" That's teasing but also respectful. (My opinion of the PGA in general is that they are a bunch of entitled prima donnas. They don't get my support as a result, and to be fair they don't need it either )

Now over 100,000 views and rising. And the comments are for the most part very positive (other than the occasional 'women shouldn't play on the PGA' which is totally non sequitir since that's not what she's doing!) "Not fair. She makes it look too easy" "effortless" "Rate that swing -- 9.5" "Perfect swing" "She's so adorable" Etc.

PGAT must be desperate for ratings--I don't recall them ever using a popular women's player to try and generate publicity for their events.

He was joking. In Gee must be good luck to her fellow alumnus of KO. He's having a good tournament.

If Whan is working on anything other than a joint tour championship in Hawaii he's a schmuck.

He was joking. In Gee must be good luck to her fellow alumnus of KO. He's having a good tournament. Is he? Well, that's obviously because In Gee's caddying advice was so spot on! Seriously, though. I know he was joking, but he could have picked a better joke than 'you're lucky the conditions weren't really like what we manly types usually face, because your delicate female swing could not possibly reach the green in that case.'

PGAT must be desperate for ratings--I don't recall them ever using a popular women's player to try and generate publicity for their events. Well, obviously it was more the LPGA trying to use a little of the PGA's popularity to showcase one of their players than anything the PGA wanted or needed. Still, I think there is evidence here that the two tours would benefit from working together. You put charismatic, uber-talented players like In Gee in front of more eyes, they are going to get at least a few people interested in checking the LPGA out. And she in turn might help the guys loosen up a little and become a little more fan friendly, which would certainly help the PGA in the long run. 'LPGA player hits 17th green at Sawgrass on 1st try' is a compelling little mini-story, even though it was just a practice round. These girls can play!

Instead of making comments that could be misconstrued, Noh should have been working on getting Dumbo's phone number...and her parents' phone number. Maybe he did. Dumbo conquered another unknown factor...the 8-iron was not hers....I assume it had a bigger grip, stiffer and longer shaft, etc. Per GolfWrx, Noh used the 8-iron below during 2017 Waste Managment Open Titleist 716 MB Shaft: True Temper Project X 6.5

1) You put charismatic, uber-talented players like In Gee in front of more eyes, they are going to get at least a few people interested in checking the LPGA out. 2) And she in turn might help the guys loosen up a little and become a little more fan friendly, which would certainly help the PGA in the long run. 1) If Dumbo really wants to get more fans interested in the LPGA......she needs a logo on her visor.....otherwise all the fans at Sawgrass will think she's just a Symetra gal. 2) The PGA tour sells it's self...the guys don't need to act phony and do selfies with fans to attract fans.
