golfweek.com/2017/04/23/lpga-tour-lydia-ko-hires-10th-caddie-pete-godfrey/Lydia Ko’s new looper will be a familiar face for LPGA fans. The World No. 1 has hired Pete Godfrey, according to GolfChannel.com, as her 10th caddie since she turned professional three years ago. Godfrey first picked up Ariya Jutanugarn’s bag at last year’s Ricoh Women’s British Open, which Jutanugarn won. He finished out the season with Jutanugarn, the 2016 Rolex Player of the Year, before the two parted ways. Godfrey was working for Ha Na Jang earlier this year when he was named 2017 Caddie of the Year at the HSBC Women’s Champions. Ko turns 20 Monday. Her carousel of caddies has been well-documented. Golfweek first reported that Ko split with her last caddie, Gary Matthews, after the Lotte Championship. Ko actually told Matthews that Hawaii would be their final event before the competition even started. Ko, of course, went on to finish second at the Lotte Championship, her best finish since July of 2016. The pair worked nine events together. The decision to change reportedly came down to personality differences. Godfrey’s first event with Ko will be this week’s Volunteers of America Texas Shootout in Irving. For those keeping score at home, her past caddies are: •Michael Henderson •Scott Lubin •Mark Wallington •Steve Kay •Domingo Jojola •Mike Cowan •Greg Johnson •Jason Hamilton •Gary Matthews

Golf Channel should do a retrospective on all Lydia's caddies. No need for any narrative, just play "I'm Henry the 8th I Am" in the background.

For those keeping score at home, her past caddies are: •Michael Henderson •Scott Lubin •Mark Wallington •Steve Kay •Domingo Jojola •Mike Cowan •Greg Johnson •Jason Hamilton •Gary Matthews I'm glad they documented the list...I was thinking Tina Jr. had cycled through 9 loops alone in 2014. Domingo & Fluff were 1 week hires for Swinging Skirt & 2014 USWO. Domingo is a member at Lake Merced (or at least was a jr./intermediate member and was on Lydia's bag at the 2012 USGA Jr. Girls Am at Lake Merced). As I've always stated...Tina and Gil know jacksh*t about golf....Johnson is so aloof...a bag jumper....they should have learned from Lexi's experience. I think BJ canned Johnson by phone or text after the WBO? Guys like Phil & fanofseri might remember. At the 2012 USWO....Lexi was in a really deep ravine with really high grass....Johnson never walked down to look at or discuss the shot with Lexi. At the 2012 Safeway at Pumpkin Ridge...Lexi had the major S***** on the really short par 4 17th hole...she did it twice....again Lexi was behind the green in really tall grass and in a bit of a ravine....she was looking so lost and embarrassed she looked close to picking up the ball and WD'ing...she took a SNOWMAN and shot a 81 that day and she missed the cut.....not once did I see Johnson walk down and tried to slow her down and calm her nerves. A week later at the CWO at the Vancouver Golf Club...I saw Lexi 3 jack on hole #6.....as she's walking off the green...she's slamming the grip of her putter into her back several times and she's in tears. There's a 125-150 yd walk from 6 to the 7th tee with no fan access.....there's a washroom in between that Lexi entered....Johnson never looked back on the 7th tee block to wonder or see if she was OK. I wanted to say something to Scott or Judy...but they were already 50 yds away. Yes...there's no crying in the BIG LEAGUES...but she was only 17 and in her rookie year. Worth Blackwelder was on Kerr's bag that week...a really nice guy with over 3 decades as a loop....his wife Myra was 1980 LPGA ROY....Worth would have been a great loop for a young Lexi...father like and had the people skills experience with a competitive golfing daughter, Mallory. Mallory's brother use to loop for Jodi Hyphen.

I don't recall either of those incidents, but very interesting. I joke about it but I think it is perfectly fine for players to cry. Everyone is wired differently. Remember when the Walrus cried at Augusta?
My parents were inseparable and had a perfect marriage.
I'm still waiting for my mother to cry over my father's death. It has only been 34 years.

Nope...why was the Walrus crying...because he won? I remember seeing the Walrus tomahawk a club at Glen Abbey, Raymond Floyd hitting one OB into a backyard during a practice rd, Jack giving Angelo his gold Rolex in the parking lot and Lee & Herman at each other's throats walked down #11.

The Walrus cried three years before he won the Masters. He was close to the lead toward the middle of the front nine and then he played played several holes in five or six over. That was the year Fuzzy won.

It's a STUPID game chasing a white ball....grow up you sissy's.
