Phil
Remember I commented about a WRX guy who has looped at the Lotte and Sony Open....below is a recent post...a past experience with MHL.
He's currently military....I gotta believe he loops as a hobby...so it's no surprised he dressed down MHL's dad....gotta believe he couldn't care less if he got fired because looping doesn't pay his bills.
I thought Jason really seemed to play a subservient role.....but I don't blame him...Tina can be scary....actually...I'm really scared of Korean woman.
Jason looked like such a dork holding the towel.
MHL's dad bought him dinner at the end of the event.
I think there is a lot of parental interference in the LPGA because the daughters have a hard time telling mom & dad to back off where a guy is more likely to tell his parents to FO if they press too hard...unless the kid is some pink shirt momma's boy Millenial.
I guess MHL is a Drama Queen cause it's hereditary.

"I experienced this first hand with Mi Hyang Lee, caddied for her at the Lotte a few years back...her dad was constantly talking and at the end of the round he just made comments that I didn't agree with towards her play, so, I told him: "I know you want the best for her, but she hired me to do a job, so please, allow me to do my job and let us play the course", surprisingly, he said he was sorry and she thanked me, she told me he does it all the time and hopefully he will stop after this talk, what's really amazing is that he did, and she played much better, made the cut and finished well, she said that she tries to ignore him while playing, but there are times that she just can't help it...like Lydia, she has had a few caddy changes as well, like when I caddied for her, her caddy called her and told her he was not coming to Hawaii, he said he had an offer from a PGA Tour player and he took it (kind of messed up, quitting your player before a tournament without notice), understandably she was very upset and almost WD from the tournament, Kim Kaufman recommended me and we had a great time...so I agree, specially in the Korean community the parents are very involved, at times too involved..."
